More crops, recipes, and areas have been added in a new update, and that is not all…
Travellers Rest, a Stardew Valley-style innkeeping and tavern management sim, recently received a significant update in its latest patch. The Travellers Rest Recipes and Farming update, which was released as part of patch 0.6.3 for the farming game, which is currently in Steam Early Access, adds two new areas, dozens of crops, and over 100 recipes to explore. The substantial update also overhauls the crop system and adds weather phenomena such as thunderstorms and snow.
Travellers Rest puts a brewing twist on the best farming games like Stardew Valley, Harvest Moon, and Rune Factory, putting you in charge of transforming a run-down tavern into a bustling hub of activity for the local town. You’re more than just a bartender, though; you’ll need to handle every aspect of the process, from farming crops to brewing and cooking, as well as transforming your home and tavern into the ideal rest stop.
Recipes and Farming, the latest update from developer Isolated Games, adds a slew of new crops, recipes, and features. The game’s farming systems have been overhauled, and there are 32 new crops to grow. Crops must now be grown during specific seasons and watered on a regular basis. Fruit trees, on the other hand, do not require manual watering and will not die off, but will only bear fruit during specific seasons.
100 new recipes have been added, which can be obtained by exchanging recipe fragments at the town’s mysterious northern temple. You’ll earn these as your reputation grows, allowing you to experiment with new drinks and dishes. A preserves table and a press are also new crafting tools to assist you.
There are two new areas to explore, both located to the north of your tavern. Weather phenomena have been introduced, which means that you will now see various types of weather that will have an effect on your crops and animals, such as rainfall automatically watering your crops for you. Seasons influence the likelihood of rain, thunderstorms, snow, wind, and other weather events. Finally, the game will now save automatically when you sleep, so you won’t have to remember to do so manually.
Travellers Rest 0.6.3, Recipes and Farming, is now available. The game is available through Steam Early Access for R 145.00 until Sunday, January 21, when developer Isolated Games plans to “slightly increase” the game’s base price. “Over the course of early access, the game has leaped forward in quality and content,” it explains, “which has resulted in more new team members and, consequently, higher production costs.”
