Ubisoft’s subscription service will be launching on Xbox in the foreseeable future.
Ubisoft + is a subscription service formerly known as UPLAY from Ubisoft which offers access to over 100 games for Microsoft Windows on PC. The subscription service was originally announced at E3 2019 launched on the 3rd of September of 2019.
Ubisoft + gives subscribers Day One access to new Ubisoft titles as well as DLC and monthly rewards including cosmetics, boosters, in-game items, and more. The publisher has now announced that the entirety of its library will soon be available on Xbox.
The publisher hasn’t yet revealed an exact date for when the service will be coming to Xbox or if the pricing will be the same yet. The current subscription will set you back $15 /R240 a month. The announcement makes no mention of whether the service will be available as part of Xbox Game Pass on either PC or Xbox but surely more will be revealed in the near future.
Some of the games available on Ubisoft + include Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey Assassin’s Creed: Origins Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate Far Cry 5 Ghost Recon: Wildlands Ghost Recon Breakpoint, Watch Dogs: Legion.
The publisher has also announced that Rainbow Six Extraction will be launching on Xbox Games Pass later this month. Rainbow Six Extraction will also be a day one addition for Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass members, allowing them to play the game on Xbox consoles and PC right away when it launches on January 20.
Rainbow Six Siege, which is already included in Xbox Game Pass, will be released on the same day for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers, allowing PC gamers to team up for even more Rainbow Six action with their pals.
Ubisoft had this to say about the game:
” Rainbow Six Extraction is a co-operative PVE experience that places players in the shoes of well-known Rainbow Six Siege operators with up to three friends, facing off against a mysterious alien menace that threatens life on Earth. With 18 operators to choose from and a variety of unique gadgets and weapons at their disposal, players will need to communicate and think tactically to take on their otherworldly adversaries and safely extract their captured teammates.”
The game has had many delays, setbacks, and even name changes but is set to be released on the 20th of this month.
