There were numerous announcements at Ubisoft Forward September 2022 this past weekend, enough to make your head spin

Over the weekend, Ubisoft held its Ubisoft Forward event. Fans of different genres received many announcements, including a significant number of Assassin’s Creed announcements.

Some of the titles in the news this weekend were Mario+Rabbids, Skull and Bones, and Just Dance just to name a few.

Since there was so much information released regarding the Assassin’s Creed franchise. It is only fitting that we start there and update you on the most recent developments.

Assassin’s Creed:

Assassin’s Creed Infinity:

The game was officially revealed, which will be a new platform and hub that will serve as the future of the franchise. They announced the first two games of the platform One of them is about a Shinobi’s life in feudal Japan, and the other directed by Clint Hocking (director of Watch Dogs: Legion).

Assassin’s Creed Infinity is not a game per se’ but rather a place where players can explore and jump into future entries of the franchise. The first of these entries is “Codename Red” which is set in Feudal Japan.

The second game wasn’t very forthcoming but we do know that it has the codename of “Hex” for now. We also know that the game will be “a very different type of Assassin’s Creed game” and that it will possibly feature some witchcraft in the gameplay.

Along with the single-player games, Ubisoft revealed that Assassin’s Creed multiplayer will return in some capacity. They will release specifics for this at a later stage.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage:

The game is a more compact and narrative-focused game than recent installments in the franchise, introducing players to a 17-year-old Basim (now voiced by Lee Majdoub) who is coping with nightmares and leading a crafty street thief’s life. Fortunately for Basim, the Hidden Ones recognize his promise and assist him in fleeing Baghdad for the Hidden Ones’ fortress of Alamut.

His tutor Roshan, voiced by Shohreh Aghdashloo, is one of these Hidden Ones. He will hone his special abilities, uncover his true nature, and come to grasp a new Creed as he learns their enigmatic rites and potent principles. This Creed, which will transform his fate in ways he never could have imagined, will help him understand his true nature.

As players join the proto-Assassin order known as the Hidden Ones and advance to become a master assassin, Mirage, is a game built as an homage to the earliest Assassin’s Creed titles, and pays respect to the series’ origins.
They will release Assassin’s Creed Mirage in 2023 on Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One.

Assassin’s Creed Codename Red:

Ubisoft Quebec, the studio behind Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, is working on Assassin’s Creed Codename Red alongside Creative Director Jonathan Dumont. The game’s open-world RPG approach will evolve from Assassin’s Creed. It will also transport players to the eagerly anticipated feudal Japan setting.

Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade:

The new mobile installment of the Assassin’s Creed series, Assassin’s Creed Jade, is set in ancient China. Ubisoft claims that it will have “traditional” Assassin’s Creed gameplay. It is set in an open world optimized for touch controls.

Assassin’s Creed Jade will allow players to explore China in the year 215 BCE and even parkour across the Great Wall of China. In addition to letting players design their own assassin protagonist for the first time ever in the franchise.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: The Last Chapter:

A free update headed to Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla called The Last Chapter will tie up loose ends of Eivor’s story.

Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope:

The game will receive DLC, including one that will introduce Rayman to the Mario + Rabbids universe. Ubisoft announced this alongside a brand-new trailer showcasing the adorable chaos of gameplay.

Skull And Bones:

Ubisoft revealed a new trailer for the upcoming pirate game which focuses on customizing your ship, the in-game trading network known as “The Helm” and a lot more. The game will also reportedly feature cross-platform play at launch. It is set to launch on the 8th of November this year.

Just Dance:

The game will be back in 2023 and will have a “shiny new look”. “Holiday 2022” will see the release of this latest installment. Which will offer a brand-new “dance on demand” platform along with new online multiplayer elements and a revamped interface. It will receive a continuous supply of free, routine content updates, just like past Just Dance games.

Trackmania:


The console version of Trackmania will feature cross-platform play and cross-Progression. Ubisoft’s long-running PC-only title Trackmania. They will release the game on consoles in 2023 and will feature cross-play and cross-progression with its PC version. The Switch version was not mentioned, but they will release the game on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, Google Stadia, and Amazon Luna.

Rainbow Six: Mobile:

The new free-to-play game Rainbow Six Mobile was specifically created for mobile devices. There was ademonstration of the game showcased. There will be a closed test on the 12th of September for individuals who want to give it a try. Google Play users can sign up now.

When Rainbow Six Mobile launches in the future, it will offer 5v5 matches, cross-play, and voice chat.

This game is a free-to-play game rooted in the world of the Tom Clancy series by Ubisoft Massive is still scheduled to launch on PC, consoles, and the cloud in 2022 or 2023. Even though Ubisoft wasn’t prepared to provide a more precise release date. They did mention that players can sign up for Heartland’s upcoming second testing phase right away.

Season 10: Price of Power, which premieres on the 13th of September, will see agents “embark on a fresh Manhunt to seek down General Peter Anderson. He is a True Sons leader trying to combine with the Black Tusk against The Division.”

The Division: Resurgence:

A testing phase for The Division Resurgence is currently being offered by Ubisoft to those interested. This is a new mobile game set in the “The Division” universe. The PVP modes like Dark Zone and Conflict will be the main emphasis of this future test.

The Crew 2:

On the 14th of September, The Crew 2: Season 6, Episode 2: Dominion Frozen will debut, bringing with it ice tracks for the first time.As part of the season’s 50 reward tiers, players will be able to choose from special-edition vehicles including the Saleen S7 Twin-Turbo Glacier Edition (Hypercar), Mazda RX-3 Supercharged Edition (Street Race), and Dodge SRT Viper GTS Lightning Edition (Street Race). In addition, nine new events will be available to players.

Riders Republic:

Vans will appear in Ubisoft’s extreme sports game, bringing together the worlds of Riders Republic and Vans. A sneak peek at Riders Republic’s upcoming fourth season, which features BMX biking, was also revealed.

As part of its partnership with Ubisoft, Netflix is also working on a live-action adaptation of Assassin’s Creed as well as three exclusive mobile games.

These games include a sequel to Valiant Hearts, a “roguelite-inspired Mighty Quest for Epic Loot,” and a new, original Assassin’s Creed game. These games will be free on the Netflix app for those with a subscription. These will have no ads or in-app purchases.

For its third anniversary, Ubisoft is giving PC, Google Stadia, and Amazon Luna players free access to Ubisoft+ Multi-Access. Over 100 Ubisoft titles will be available to them, including Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
