Xbox Game Pass has added more games to their list for September 2021.
Xbox Game Pass subscribers are in for a real treat, with already having six releases earlier this month, we are getting another thirteen to keep us busy.
We can expect to see eight of the thirteen titles as day one releases. These will include action-adventure I Am Fish, Indie-action RPG Unsighted, RPG Astria Ascending, turn-based indie FPS Lemnis Gate, indie RPG platformer Flynn: Son of Crimson, sports & racing simulator Skatebird, fighting-adventure platformer Aragami 2, and indie-adventure platformer Sable.
The other five will include turn-based RPG Phoenix Point, indie-action RPG Tainted Grail: Conquest, indie action-adventure survival Subnautica: Below Zero, indie-platformer-puzzle game Lost Words: Beyond the Page, and finally, FPS puzzle adventure Superliminal.
As an added bonus, the upcoming 8th of December release – Halo Infinite – is available for pre-download on Xbox Series X, Series S, and Xbox One. This pre-install of the game is a measly 200MB, very obviously not the full game but as the release date approaches it will automatically update.
Flynn: Son of Crimson (Cloud, Console, and PC) (15th of September):
Playing as Flynn, this 2D handcrafted action platformer will take you on a journey with comrade, Dex, to save Rosantica. While mastering the art of Crimson Energy, you will be on a journey of conflict and discovery as you save Rosantica’s home from the evil that is The Scourge claims his home.
I Am Fish (Cloud, Console, and PC) (16th of September):
This quaint little physics-based adventure game stars four valiant fishy friends who are forcibly separated from their pet shop fish tank. Playing as a fishy friend you will swim, roll, fly and munch your way on a journey to the vast open sea to claim your freedom and hopefully reunite with your friends once more.
SkateBird (Cloud, Console, and PC) (16th of September):
Now you can live the dream as you become a skater bird in this single-player simulator. Perform that gnarly 360 kick-flip over that remote, grind across a trail of pencils, and loop through that roll of tape.
Superliminal (Cloud, Console, and PC) (16th of September):
Trapped in a bizarre dreamlike world, you work your way through this mind-boggling, mind-bending puzzle realm using all that you find to escape. The obscurity of depth and perception is nothing but that, an obscurity, as nothing remains as it seems but bends to your very will of necessity.
Aragami 2 (Cloud, Console, and PC) (17th of September):
Playing as an elite assassin and one of the last of your kin; the Aragami, you have the ability to control the shadows, known as Shadow Essence. This ability is what allows you to carry out your tasks all across the valley and freeing your fellow Aragami that have been incarcerated by assaulting armies.
Lost Words: Beyond the Page (Cloud, Console, and PC) (23rd of September):
Classified as a side-scrolling atmospheric narrative, this little title will turn your world upside-down. In a world that you create, you quite literally run across your words and use them to interact with your fantasy story in the land of Estoria.
Sable (Cloud, Console, and PC) (23rd of September):
In this uniquely styled story-rich, exploration indie title you will guide Sable through her Gliding; the rite of passage which takes you across vast deserts and spellbinding landscapes, scattered with ancient marvels and remains of spaceships and other foreign debris.
Subnautica: Below Zero (Cloud, Console, and PC) (23rd of September):
Dive into a freezing underwater adventure on an alien planet. Set one year after the original Subnautica, Below Zero challenges you to survive a disaster at an alien research station on Planet 4546B. Craft tools, scavenge for supplies and unravel the next chapter in the Subnautica story.
Tainted Grail: Conquest (PC) (23rd of September):
This roguelike deck-builder is set in a dark fantasy inspired by Arthurian mythology. It is a story-driven hybrid of RPG and rogue style gameplay, particularly accentuating the roguelike aspects. Watch your Heroes come to life in this shadowy atmospheric card game.
Lemnis Gate (Console and PC) (28th of September):
Stuck in a time loop, you will be harnessing the abilities of powerful operatives and competing in mind-bending four-dimensional battles in order to disrupt the past and change the future in this revolutionary turn-based strategy FPS.
This tactical FPS will allow you to claim victory after five strategic rounds in this innovative multiplayer game. This is your chance to exploit the unlimited complexities of time travel and forge your path to victory.
Astria Ascending (Cloud, Console, and PC) (30th of September):
Astria Ascending has a bit of that Final Fantasy feel to it. As one of the Fated Eight, explore the world of Orcanon where twelve ancient beasts dwell and fight against your destiny to save the world in this hand-drawn, turn-based JRPG.
Unsighted (Console and PC) (30th of September):
Awoken to a world ruined by war, Alma must traverse the vast city of Arcadia before the life force of her friends and herself withers away. Time is ticking and every moment counts. Who will you save and who will you leave to turn Unsighted in this indie-action RPG?
Phoenix Point (Console) (1st of October):
Scientists discover an unusual virus in the melting permafrost, of which only 1% of the viruses’ genes match anything in existing databases. In decades to come, the seas are transformed into something alien and the mutagens begin to invade the land via an airborne microbial mist.
The human population has been devastated and survivors are gathered in scattered sanctuaries across the lands and resources are controlled by a select few factions. Of course, with the world in such a state there are always opposing principles and deep hidden secrets.
The Phoenix Project is a worldwide organization designed to be activated when the world is in peril. You control one cell, gathering some of the world’s best scientists, engineers, and soldiers. After your cell is activated, you realize that you have no contact with any other cells. You need to find out what happened to them.
What Is Xbox Game Pass?
Xbox Game Pass is a game subscription service hosted by Microsoft. Being a valid subscription holder gives you access to a massive library of games. There are new games joining Xbox Game Pass regularly.
If the game supports it, you can play it on your Xbox One/Xbox Series console, or Windows 10, last but not least, Android devices can also enjoy supported games via xCloud.
Xbox Game Pass also gives subscription holders a number of other perks. There are numerous perks that subscription holders have access to, however, some are only available on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
