Valorant Has A New Agent Named Killjoy Here Is What We Know

Exciting news in Valorant this week as we meet the new Agent Killjoy. Thanx to Riot for letting the cat out of the bag.

Luckily for us, somebody at Riot accidentally gave us information they weren’t supposed to, well not yet anyway. The news has come that Killjoy will be the next Valorant agent.

The new turret-toting agent was introduced with full explanations of her abilities on the Riot website shortly before the page went down. There was also reportedly a YouTube video that showcased all said abilities in action, but unfortunately, the mistake was noticed and the page was taken down.

Enter data minor Floxay who luckily for us found said video showcasing each ability and here it is for your viewing pleasure:

those are some amazing abilities, well here is each ability broken down for you:

  • Alarmbot (C) – Equip and deploy a bot that hunts down enemies who dare to get in range. When my killer robot friend reaches its target, boom goes the idiot. Alarmbot not only deals damage, it temporarily leaves affected targets vulnerable to double damage from all sources. Hold equip if you want to recall your deployed bot.
  • Turret (Q) – Sometimes it’s good to plant some roots. Deploy a turret that fires at enemies within its 180-degree cone. Hold equip to recall the deployed turret. With my turret, I can hold an area pretty well myself while the others cover the angles I can’t.
  • Nanoswarm (E) – OK check this out. Throw the grenade. When it lands, it goes quiet. Then, activate the Nanoswarm to deploy a damaging swarm of nanobots and catch the enemy crying. I love this trick!
  • Lockdown (Ultimate) – You’ll have to adjust your timing for the windup, but once you get this device going, it detains all enemies caught in its radius for about 8 seconds. Yeah, enemies can destroy it—except I built plenty more.
Valorant Has A New Agent Named Killjoy Here Is What We Know

Curiously on the28th of July Valorant tweeted a little pictorial teaser captioned” Wer ist Sie?”, which translates to “who is she?” The tweet contains four images.

In a clockwise direction, we firstly see a closeup of a keyboard, the second is the closeup of an electrical weapon with a little yellow face, thirdly we have a cute robotic RC car and last but not least, gloved hands typing on a keyboard.

From these images we can deduce a couple of things, namely that the new agent is a female, her name is Killjoy and she is of German origin. From all the gadgets and tech in the images, we can assume that she will most likely be tech-savvy and make use of different gadgets as she progresses in the game.

Much more than this is unclear at this time but stay tuned as we will be keeping our finger on the pulse of this story as it unfolds. There is sure to be a definite announcement soon.
