Early next month, a new release date will be announced

Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2, the sequel to the critically acclaimed team-based shooter released in 2010, has been officially delayed until the “second half of 2024.”

Focus made the announcement in a letter titled ” Update on execution of the line-up and partnerships, which outlined the futures of several upcoming games. The letter also mentions that the game’s new release date will be announced, “in early December.”

Space Marine 2 was originally scheduled for a “winter” release, as announced earlier this year at Summer Game Fest. The game’s most recent update arrived in late August, with a trailer announcing an upcoming beta test, which players could sign up for on the game’s official website.

That “early December” release date announcement coincides with The Game Awards, which are scheduled for December 7. Space Marine 2 has previously appeared prominently at the event, with the game’s official announcement trailer debuting in 2021 and its first gameplay trailer debuting last year.

Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 will be available on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC through Steam.
