The Dune: Part Two release date has been pushed back yet again, but it will now be in theaters sooner than previously scheduled

When will Dune: Part Two be released?


The new release date for Dune: Part Two is March 1, 2024. Dune: Part Two was originally scheduled to be released in theaters on November 3, 2023 by Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Entertainment. It was then pushed back to March 15, 2024. Warner Bros. has moved up the release date by two weeks now that the strikes are over.

“This follow-up film will explore the mythic journey of Paul Atreides as he unites with Chani and the Fremen while on a warpath of revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family,” reads the synopsis. “Facing a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the known universe, he endeavors to prevent a terrible future only he can foresee.”

Denis Villeneuve is directing Dune: Part Two for the second time. Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Stellan Skarsgard, Dave Bautista, Zendaya, Javier Bardem, Josh Brolin, and Stephen McKinley Henderson are among the returning cast members. Christopher Walken as Emperor Shaddam IV, Florence Pugh as Princess Irulan, Austin Butler as Feyd-Rautha, Léa Seydoux as Lady Margot, and Souheila Yacoub as Shishakli will join them.

The first film received critical acclaim from both fans and critics upon its initial release. It also received ten Academy Award nominations. Six of them were awarded, including Best Original Score and Best Cinematography.
