February is finally here which will come as a relief to many as January finally leaves us. The free Xbox Game Pass games, subscribers get to play has been confirmed and to start things off with they have given us five excellent games.
The genres subscribers can look forward to this month are a bit of roguelike action, some turn-based exploration, a bit of sandbox physics-based play, Warhammer action, and lastly some snowboarding action.
Dreamscaper (3rd of February):
Dreamscaper is an endlessly replayable Action Roguelike with a waking/dreaming gameplay cycle. By night, delve deep into your subconscious, facing nightmares in an ever-changing world filled with unique items, abilities, and challenges. By day, explore the city of Redhaven, build relationships and unlock permanent upgrades in order to take on the next dream stronger than ever.
Besiege: Console edition (10th of February):
Besiege is a physics-based building game in which you construct medieval siege engines and lay waste to immense fortresses and peaceful hamlets. Build a machine which can crush windmills, wipe out battalions of brave soldiers and transport valuable resources, defending your creation against cannons, archers, and whatever else the desperate enemies have at their disposal.
Create a trundling behemoth, or take clumsily to the skies, and cause carnage in fully destructible environments. Ultimately, you must conquer every Kingdom by crippling their castles and annihilating their men and livestock, in as creative or clinical a manner as possible!
Edge of Eternity (10th of February):
The world of Heryon is torn apart. Years ago, the arrival of a mysterious alien force ultimately plunged the planet into an endless cataclysmic war where both magic and technology were unleashed to their worst and darkest extremes.
Now an even greater threat has emerged: in a despicable act of war, the invaders released the Corrosion, a fatal disease turning living forms of all kinds into misshapen abominations. In these desperate times, a young soldier will have to face his destiny and embark on an epic journey that will change the fate of Heryon forever…
Total War: Warhammer 3 (17th of February):
Far beyond the world and its petty wars there exists a dimension of pure, malevolent magic: The Realm of Chaos. It is a terrible place, incomprehensible to the mortal mind. It whispers promises of power, but to behold it is to be seduced by it. To relinquish your soul to it.
To become it. For the first time in Total War: Warhammer, wield the power of the monstrous Daemon Prince and take charge of your own daemonic design using a vast suite of unique customization options. Command legions, slay your enemies, and wreak havoc in the name of the Ruinous Powers!
Shredders (TBA):
A love letter to snowboarding, Shredders takes inspiration from a whole bunch of awesome snowboarding films, the Amped games from back in the day, and the snowboarding heroes on Instagram. You and your pal are making goofball snowboarding videos at the Frozen Wood resort when brand ambassador Lisa makes an offer for a couple of sponsored videos.
She gives you a glimpse of a whole new world of snowboarding, professional riders, snowmobiles, and epic features to shred. An invitational has attracted a whole bunch of pro-riders to the area, and with Lisa’s help, you have a chance to meet some of them, learn a bunch of their moves, and possibly even get a chance to join them in the kick-ass invitational!
As always, carefully plan your time… Game Pass is about to make use of every minute you have…
