May is just around the corner and that means Xbox Game Pass subscribers get the much-anticipated news of their next free games for the month. There are seven confirmed games coming to Xbox Game Pass so far so a lot for subscribers to sink their teeth into.
For the first confirmed games, subscribers can look forward to varying genres including Shooting action-adventure, Pacman action, Isometric dark fantasy, cyberpunk choices matter, side-scrolling, action RPG, and lastly some Sci-Fi physics.
Below are the seven games subscribers can expect from Xbox Game Pass in May.
Loot River (console) (3rd of May):
Set in a series of procedurally generated labyrinths, Loot River is a dungeon-crawling action roguelike that combines tense, real-time combat and dark fantasy settings with spatial block-shifting. Armed with the power of the Relic, players can shift the ground beneath them, sliding floating ruins together in a series of tile puzzles. As players venture through these endless catacombs, they’ll encounter beasts, lost travelers, and bosses. These cosmic grottos offer a wealth of new weapons and gear to discover, as well as unholy knowledge to unearth for permanent upgrades.
Citizen Sleeper (console) (5th of May):
From the developer of In Other Waters, and featuring the stunning character art of Guillaume Singelin, Citizen Sleeper is a narrative RPG set on Erlin’s Eye, a ruined space station that is home to thousands of people trying to survive on the edges of an interstellar capitalist society.
You are a sleeper, a digitized human consciousness in an artificial body, owned by a corporation that wants you back. Thrust amongst the unfamiliar and colourful inhabitants of the Eye, you need to build friendships, earn your keep, and navigate the factions of this strange metropolis, if you hope to survive to see the next cycle.
Trek to Yomi (Console, PC, Cloud) (5th of May):
As a vow to his dying Master, the young swordsman Hiroki is sworn to protect his town and the people he loves against all threats. Faced with tragedy and bound to duty, the lone samurai must voyage beyond life and death to confront himself and decide his path forward.
Eiyuden Chronicle Rising (Console) (10th of May):
Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising combines a thrilling adventure through ancient ruins with the tale of one town’s rise from the ashes.
Drawn by lenses and other treasure in the nearby Runebarrows, our heroes learn that the town is struggling to rebuild after an earthquake and decide to help. Along the way, they’ll resolve disputes between eager adventurers and wary locals who don’t think the Barrows should be disturbed. And they’ll learn more about each other’s reasons for seeking treasure, deepening their bonds in the process.
Hardspace Shipbreaker (PC) (24th of May):
Our cutting-edge LYNX tech helps you do the job. Slice metal with the laser cutter and use the grapple tool to move salvage with ease. Earn upgrades, such as demo charges, sensors, and safety gear.

Sniper Elite 5 (Console, PC) (26th of May):
The latest installment in the award-winning series, Sniper Elite 5 offers unparalleled sniping, tactical third-person combat, and an enhanced kill cam. Fight your way across the most immersive maps yet, with many real-world locations captured in stunning detail, and an improved traversal system that lets you explore more of them than ever before.
France, 1944 – As part of a covert US Rangers operation to weaken the Atlantikwall fortifications along the coast of Brittany, elite marksman Karl Fairburne makes contact with the French Resistance. Soon they uncover a secret Nazi project that threatens to end the war before the Allies can even invade Europe: Operation Kraken.
Pac-Man Museum+ (Console, PC) (27th of May):
Pac-Man Museum + is an upcoming compilation title featuring games from the Pac-Man series, being a sequel to the 2014 compilation title Pac-Man Museum. The compilation is developed by Bandai Namco Entertainment and is scheduled to release in May. Like the previous collection, Pac-Man Museum + features fourteen games from the Pac-Man franchise, ranging from arcade titles to home console/handheld releases.
Each game is presented as originally shown, alongside the original games having missions added. The game features a customizable arcade mode, where the player can control Pac-Man and explore a virtual arcade. The arcade can be customized with decorative objects that can be purchased by spending coins, which are earned by playing games and completing missions. Coins are also used to play arcade games.

Xbox Game Pass is a game subscription service hosted by Microsoft. Being a valid subscription holder gives you access to a massive library of games. There are new games joining Xbox Game Pass regularly.
If the game supports it, you can play it on our Xbox One/ Xbox Series console, or Windows 10, last but not least, Android devices can also enjoy the supported games via xCloud.
Xbox Game Pass also gives subscription holders a number of other perks. There are numerous perks that subscription holders have access to, however, some are only available on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
