September is upon us and with it comes four new games for Xbox Games With Gold Subscribers to enjoy and sink their teeth into.
Among the offerings for September are some varied genres including Warhammer action with Warhammer: Chaosbane, or dive into Northern Mexico’s breathtaking landscapes with Mulaka. Embark on a Sci-Fi Adventure with Zone Of The Enders: HD Collection, and lastly we have some master swordplay action with Samurai Showdown II.
Samurai Showdown II ( 16th of September to the 30th):
One year after the defeat of Amakusa from within the first Samurai Shodown, a new threat soon emerges in the form of Mizuki Rashojin: a vengeful spirit who possess a local shrine priestess named Mizuki and seeks to bring forth chaos and destruction to the world in the name of the dark god Ambrosia’s will. Those who
had fought before in the past during Amakusa’s reign of terror now find themselves, along with a few new faces, battling against Mizuki and her loyal forces in order to determine the fate of the entire world itself.
Warhammer: Chaosbane (1st of September to the 30th):
In a world ravaged by war and dominated by magic, you are the last hope for the Empire of Man against the Chaos hordes. Playing solo or with up to 4 in local or online co-op, choose a hero from 5 character classes with unique and complementary skills, and prepare for epic battles wielding some of the most powerful artifacts of the Old World.
Zone of the Enders HD Collection (1st of September to the 15th ):
The Zone of the Enders series is set in the late 22nd century. Mankind has colonized Mars, and space colonies are set up in orbit around Jupiter. Fueling this expansion are two scientific advances: the development of the Laborious Extra-Orbital Vehicle, or LEV, a mecha used for labor and military use, and the discovery of Metatron, a high-energy ore found on Callisto.
Those in power on Earth begin to take a dim view of the colonists of Mars and Jupiter, calling them “Enders”, and imposing harsh and exploitative laws and taxes against them. Eventually, different groups on Mars begin to rise up in opposition to Earth, the most well-known of these called Bahram.
A new weapon given to these rebels is the Orbital Frame, a mecha which makes extensive use of Metatron-based technology. These Orbital Frames come to shape the destiny of Earth and its colonies, for both good and evil. The HD Collection includes updated interfaces for the HD resolutions, redrawn art, Trophy/Achievement support, improved audio, and rumble support.
Mulaka (16th of September to the 15th of October):
Renowned for their impressive running abilities, embark on the journey of a Sukurúame – a Tarahumara shaman – as you fight back the foulness corrupting the land while drawing upon the powers of demigods.
From solving puzzles in environments inspired by real Sierra Tarahumara locations, to heated hand-to-hand combat with creatures pulled from the region’s mythology, find out why the Tarahumara have earned a reputation for being superhumans.
