Gameplay & Controls:
You can play the game on your keyboard and mouse, but a controller is highly recommended. The game uses many buttons for various actions and features. This makes keyboard control quite tricky to manage, considering that this game’s fight scenes require quick movement and responses.
The gameplay is a JRPG so there is quite a bit of reading and even more storytelling, however, this is something we enjoy and has become the norm when it comes to JRPG. The game’s audio is in Japanese; at this stage, there is no English version or patch.
Gameplay Story:
The game starts with a brief introduction and an amazing song, a few minutes in, all hell breaks loose and you are facing off against Black Lotus from Accel World. After some fighting and then some introductions, you now have the conclusion that the two worlds are being merged and that is where our journey truly starts.
Yui was kidnapped and it is up to us to recruit all the help we can muster whilst getting stronger to save her.
The game has a lengthy campaign that has lore, exploration and so much joy and companions that it will keep you busy for hours. Accompanying this main campaign is a great number of extra quests, side quests, challenges and so much more which will keep you busy for even that much longer, if not even more…. Yeah, that is how much extra there is to this game.
As you explore areas, hunt monsters, and finish off missions you obtain Yule and BP which are the two currencies for the game that you can use to buy items, gear, and weapons. You can also upgrade weapons and gear at the Blacksmith further adding to your adventure; There are hundreds of gear and weapon pieces to obtain, from common items to Legendary class items, all waiting for you.
You can have a party of three to accompany you on missions, these three people can be whoever you choose to play with, and there is a long list to choose from, each character has their own skill set which levels up as the skills get used.
The level cap for the characters themselves is quite insane, capping at 1200, giving you the chance to build some powerhouse heroes.
Graphics:
Whether it is the character models, or the levels themselves, they have all been marvelously and beautifully drawn.
The dungeons you explore all have unique layouts, colour schemes, and monsters that inhabit them, and speaking of monsters, they were created just as beautifully, full of colour and uniqueness.
Animated scenes are captivating but let’s face it, the story behind this marvel alone captivates you like never before, so the pretty cut scenes are just extra eye candy.
Under the hood, we have numerous settings to customize our game experience.
Sounds:
Simply superb, the game is already full of so much awesome and joyous experiences, and then comes the music and background sounds that furthers the experience and enhances it tenfold. There is an amazing soundtrack that makes the whole game so much more memorable.
Character voiceovers are done so brilliantly, even though it is Japanese, you can feel the vibe and emotion behind the words and that experience is amazing, do note that there are subtitles for the game so you do not have to wonder what is being said.
The game world is indeed alive and vibrant, and the background sounds play a big role in keeping that liveliness vibe going. Under the hood, we have full volume control to customize our vocal experience.
Replayability:
The game offers multiplayer for you and up to three other players, so things can get a whole lot more interesting there.
The game itself has so much to offer that completing it 100% will require a great deal of time, that’s just how much there is to do, and when that is all said and done you can start a new game plus that allows you to keep everything you obtained and unlocked and begin the experience all over again.

Accel World VS. Sword Art Online Deluxe Edition is beautifully done, and the theme resembles that of the Anime’s very closely, if you are a fan of the shows you will love the experience that this game offers.
It might be a tad hard to get into if you are unfamiliar with the shows, but the game offers a lot of lore that builds a backstory for you to read up on, so there is that to bridge any gaps that there might be.
The campaign and freedom that the game offers are a unique experience on its own. There are so many characters to unlock and to play with that every mission feels unique and exhilarating. The AI that controls your other two companions are fairly decent and manages pretty well to keep up with your pace and playstyle, the command options do help in this regard if you require specifics.
I can continue with so much more and why this game is a must-experience for any JRPG fan or SAO fan. But that will just spoil too much, I’d rather invite you to try out this amazing game.
