Gameplay & Controls:
Whether you play this one with a keyboard and mouse or with a controller, she handles and plays like a dream. The controls have been updated from the original, but the core functions are still the same, and getting used to the new features will take but a moment.
Handling Desmond feels less clunky than it did in the previous title. He also plays a larger role this time around and it is a rather pleasant experience. The rest of the game handles brilliantly. The developers did a marvellous job to keep the combat and exploration fluid and smooth. Whether you are in hot pursuit of a target or outrunning guards, you will have a grand time moving about. There are quite a few new mechanics and features to help you along the way. Throwing money on the floor will attract crowds of civilians to flock towards the money blocking off your pursuer’s path.

It is 15th Century Italy, and you take control of Ezio Auditore da Firenze, a young noble whose entire life is about to come crashing down around him. With him, you will experience how deep betrayal cuts, how deep hatred and vengeance seeps into your soul as you set out on a path to bring justice to all those who have wronged you.
You will bear witness to a masterfully crafted story line, whilst wielding a deadly arsenal so that you can swap out as you see fit. Go for speed and agility or brute force with heavy armour at your side. You have a variety of options on how to equip your assassin. With this comes even more extras… Ezio will make a lot of new friends as he progresses through his hit list!
Upgrade your equipment, your pouches, and grab a second hidden blade while you’re at it to perform deadly double assassinations from a variety of positions… Assassin’s Creed II is going to treat you to an unforgettable experience.
Graphics:
Very well done does not begin to cover it! They did an outstanding job creating Italy and the surrounding cities for us. Based on my limited experience of the time period I can say that they did a very decent job with the colours, building architecture, and landscaping.
The feel and atmosphere of every city is an absolutely marvellous experience as you play through them, exploring all their nooks and crannies… These cities and buildings don’t just look nice, but they have been designed in such a way that you can almost scale any building in the game. Character design was done just as well. There are so many different NPC’s that you will come across and every model has been given its own unique appearance and colour scheme.
They did more than a great job with the visuals and appearances of the game, this you will see the moment you step into this masterpiece.
In the settings menu, you have a few options to customize your game.
Sounds:
I can’t picture this game without this amazing soundtrack. It utterly and completely makes the entirety of the game so much more enjoyable. Whether you are out and about collecting treasures or tracking down a target. There is stunning music that accompanies whatever you do, fully enhancing the experience.
Voice over artists did a fantastic job bringing all the different characters to life with their notable skills. You have full volume control in the settings menu.
Replayability:
The game world is quite large, full of hidden treasures that you can seek out and collect. The new management mini-game will keep you just as busy.
There are a variety of side quests and additional activities that you can partake in which will further add to the Assassin’s Creed experience.

Through and through one of the best sequels I have ever experienced. Assassin’s Creed came out of nowhere and totally blew us away! It was simply just that good! The story line, the mechanics, the mystery! Everything about it was totally new and absolutely amazing…
Then came the sequel and it is a masterpiece! Everything is bigger and so much better this time around! The new and improved mechanics really upped the game from where it started. The way they mix truth, history, and fiction to create the story line and surrounding content is truly extraordinary. It creates a perfect gaming atmosphere full of mystery and excitement. One simply can’t get enough of Assassin’s Creed!
As Ezio, you will start at the very bottom with nothing but your wits and from there you will push forward becoming one with the shadows as you master what it is to become an Assassin. It is here where you will traverse the path to become a Master Assassin.
This game has so much more to offer, but it is time for you to head out and experience it for yourself!
