Time to unbox this beauty!

Aesthetics:

This beauty is going to do a whole lot more than just keep your temperatures down! For starters, it’s going to add a whole lot of beauty to your build! The ML240 comes with ARGB, so you know what that means… Enhance your solid colour build even more by adding three new light sources to it or add even more randomized colours to your setup. The choice and freedom are yours!

Blue
Beautiful in Blue.

Upon closer inspection you can look at the entire build and design of the ML 240; Whether it is the fans, the pump, the radiator, or the sleeved tubes. There is a lot of style in every part. The pump is bigger than those of its competitors, however, the added RGB displays and enhances the size rather remarkably.

Installation:

If it is your first liquid installation it might look and feel a tad Greek. This beauty fits almost every socket type there is and it comes packaged with the installation brackets for all those CPUs that it supports. So yeah at first glance it looks quite complicated and even threatening, but by unboxing it and carefully sorting out all the components, you can easily start making sense of what is going on here. There is a detailed instruction manual to go over, or you can go with the phone a friend option if that doesn’t help there is always google.

Dash
Dashing in green!

Once you’ve gone over all the contents and sorted through all the components for the parts you need the rest is rather simple. Making sure that your PC is switched off beforehand is always step 1. Fitting and installation from here are pretty straightforward.

After applying thermal paste, it’s merely a matter of placing the pump/ heat sink over your CPU and then tightening it according to your board and socket specifications. The Radiator can be installed to your own personal preference, it does depend on the case you use, but ultimately it is your choice

For some, the inclusive RGB controller might be a welcome add-on, whereas others might already have the controller/ features on their motherboard. However, the installation of the RGB controller is fairly simple as well.

I’m blue…

That’s all there is to it…

Durability:

A rather brilliant design. The pump itself is constructed from Polyphenylene sulphide and glass fiber, which resists a variety of chemicals. Furthermore, it is unaffected by moisture or immersion in water. The pump is lightweight and impervious to oxidations and corrosions. We can all agree here that these “features” are of key importance to the inside of our PCs.  Every component within the pump is made from high-quality components to ensure failure or leaks never occur.

Options are always good.

The FEP tubing is extremely durable and flexible. The fans have an astonishing lifespan that will most probably live well after you’ve purchased or upgraded your current cooler. The radiator doesn’t just look flashy in its Aluminium brilliance, it is easily visible that it is made from high-quality grade materials to ensure longevity.

Performance:

Comparing the ML240 to others in its class, it might fall a tad short on the top tier spot, however, it does a rather fantastic job nonetheless in keeping your CPU cool.  The radiator allows for a higher flow rate, which improves the heat exchange and provides unmatched cooling performance.

This ML240 has been installed into a system running an AMD Ryzen 9 3900x CPU.

The Stats!

Above you will see our findings. We used Msi’s Dragon Center to adjust the OverClocking. On the Left, we have our system running on Silent, and to be frank, she is running dead silent… In the Middle, we opted for Balanced performance, and as you can see the temperatures climbed a tad but the noise level stayed rather low. On the Right we bumped it up to Extreme, it’s here where everything kicks into overdrive and even the fans are louder now. However, the temperatures are still rather low and that is the key here.

MGR Gaming’s Conclusions:

The ML240 does not require any additional software to use or manage. The RGB can be controlled via your Motherboards app, or by using the RGB controller. That is all there is to it. The wide variety of Socket support that the ML 240 offers is truly remarkable.

RGB is life!

CPU Socket Support:

  • Intel LGA 2066/ 2011-v3 / 2011 / 1151 / 1150 / 1155 / 1156 / 1366 / 775
  • AMD Socket AM4 / AM3+ / AM3 / AM2+/ AM2 / FM2+ / FM2 / FM1

The ML240 will keep your CPU’s temperatures well in check whether you are gaming for fun, or putting your hardware to the OverClocking test. The Ml240 will keep your temperatures down so you can game all you want.

The
The perfect fit.

The added RGB is pure bliss. In this day and age, components without RGB just don’t feel right anymore. Sure, there are better Liquid Coolers out there, however, the price comparison for what you get ensures that the ML240 is the best buy.
