MGR Gaming’s Conclusions:
Darkest Dungeon®: The Colour of Madness is the second expansion for the Darkest Dungeon, it is not as big as The Crimson Court however, it adds its own unique spice of life to your game experience. It all started when an Alien shard fell from the sky, blinding all who witnessed its approach…
What happened and what lies in wait?
There are numerous new trinkets that you can purchase at the new Jeweller, however, he does not take gold, he only trades in shards, a special currency obtained from expeditions on the Farmstead.
Questing in the Farmstead is quite different than before, the mission here is; survive as long as possible, racking up kills and loot. There is no end in sight for expeditions here, they last as long as you are able to survive.
To help with this seemingly impossible task, new Mercenaries have been added to the roster, they come well prepared, at maximum resolve level and fully upgraded. Their price however is a percentage of everything you made in your endless run.
The new District buildings will add some much needed support to help combat the forces of evil and adding to this support are some powerful new quirks that may just help you turn the tides.
An entire faction of new enemies awaits you; The miller and his loyal workers have all turned into monstrous husks of their former selves. Accompanying them are new bosses as well, there is The Miller himself, The Thing from the Stars, and the Comet itself.
All in all, another decent add on for sure.
