Delve into the Depravity of Your Hallucinations
Some key points that this game offers:
- Mind Twisting brain teasers.
- Journey back and forth between reality and hallucination.
- Immersive Story Line.
- Numerous creepy locations to keep you on your toes.
- Use your deductive skills to solve clues and escape this horror-filled nightmare.
Gameplay & Controls:
The game is controlled with a mouse and keyboard together or simply point and click with the mouse if you so wish.
In this creepy hidden object game, you are a disgraced Doctor that has lost his licence and you journey through an old hospital stuck between what’s real and what’s a hallucination. As you find certain objects that were left behind by your colleagues and sort through the vague clues to clear certain conditions in a specific order to get through each level until finally, you can escape this forlorn hospital.
Throughout the game you have your very own creepy companion in the form of a cat who helps you with certain tasks, but is he really there or is he just part of your imagination?
Unfortunately, there is no tutorial or real instructions to speak of, and be sure to read every piece of paper you find for clues or you will struggle to crack the puzzles.
The locations and tasks get weirder as you progress and this game is definitely not for the faint of heart, but horror lovers will thrive in this atmosphere. The levels are fairly difficult but not unnecessarily so. You do have a timer to add to the difficulty so it’s best to keep your concentration up whilst on this journey.
Finding the hidden objects are the simple part of this game, but when it comes to solving the puzzles, they expect you to figure things out that aren’t really rooted in logic, making it a challenge, to say the least.
You can acquire hints continuously if you so wish without being penalized which is a bonus.
Graphics:
The graphics are well done and do their job of creeping you out very well. Each location you visit has many various nooks and crannies to explore and search through as you look for the various objects you are tasked with finding.
Each item looks so true to life and just like its real-life counterparts. Some are quite difficult to find as they are to scale, for instance, tweezers or forceps will be the same size it would be in real life, so look closely.
The location you are exploring is an abandoned hospital and is just as creepy as that sounds. You are guaranteed to be freaked out from the cracked walls to the blood stains to the bodies and patients still in their respective examination beds. The sights and sounds are realistic and will immerse you in this creepy fantasy world.
Sounds:
The background music is ominous, to say the least. It feels like you are in a horror movie awaiting something terrifying to pounce at any moment.
Every sound really adds to the horror-stricken atmosphere and will make your blood run cold with every terrifying second that passes.
The sounds can get quite tedious after a while though as it doesn’t change but loops the same sound continuously.
Replayability:
This game doesn’t offer much in the way of Replayability as the objects are in the same place every time and generally speaking hidden object games aren’t very replayable at the best of times.
If, however, you love the riddles and atmosphere of this tricky game and are determined to see it through you can play it many times over.
MGR Gaming’s Conclusions:
Spoilers Ahead:
After all, is said and played this is a very enjoyable mind-bending game, that will test your skills at puzzle solving.
It would have been nice if the music was a little more varied, and the clues for the puzzles made a bit more sense, but these small issues don’t take away from the enjoyability of this creepy game.
