Aesthetics:
Cute and creepy but mostly creepy. Licker is one of the many Resident Evil characters that strikes fear into the heart of anyone that comes across this menacing creature.
Funko really outdid themselves with the details this time. You can even see his brains! The artwork on this figurine was done very beautifully. The different shades and colours in the paintwork add such depth to this Funko. They have even got his muscular structure detail perfect.
Even though he doesn’t have eyes as such it feels as if he can see into your soul as he watches you from his perch. Licker is so creepy to behold you can almost imagine him coming to life and bursting through his box to devour you.
Functionality:
Simply leave him in the box as mint in box or alternatively you can remove him and stand him in a highly visible spot. This particular Funko doesn’t come with a stand but he doesn’t need one as he stands very sturdy on his four legs.
He is made of a very sturdy vinyl and will menacingly watch over you for many moons to come.
His head can rotate 360 degrees like many Funko figurines to allow for ease of placement as he can face in almost any direction. On the box, it warns that this item is for ages 17 and up and I suppose this is because of his menacing looks and nightmare inducing anatomy. So best to gift this to someone who is collecting Resident Evil memorabilia or an avid fan of the franchise.
MGR Gaming’s Conclusions:
This extreme Funko figurine is very well made and very sturdy. I can’t say he is beautiful as I don’t think that was the aim when he was created, but he achieves the task of striking fear and inducing nightmares in its new owner.
As a collector of Resident Evil memorabilia, this is a must have addition as he is a vital part of the Resident Evil universe. Licker is not for everyone but those that are aficionados will really enjoy this specific specimen. It is evident that he was carefully and meticulously created and is a wonderful addition to any collection.
