Aesthetics:
Menacing and terrifying looking, Venomized Groot strikes fear and intrigue from the very first glance.
His electric blue colour is so striking and alluring.
The venomization has transformed and morphed our favourite lovable character and he has now sprouted spectacular thorny leaves from his head and his teeth are now terrifying and frightening.
Even though he has morphed into something scary we can still recognize him for the Groot we know and love.
Funko outdid themselves with the attention to detail, from his thorny leaves to black and blue veinous skin, his terrifying tentacular type tongue, and right down to those horrifying teeth.
To top it all off this Funko is a Bobblehead and who doesn’t love a bobblehead after all.
Functionality:
Here is where I had an issue with this figurine, he doesn’t come with a stand like many Funko’s and he really needs one as he is extremely top-heavy and very unstable to stand upright.
If you plan to have him stand upright you will have to have him lean against something for stability.
This stability will become an issue when trying to bobble his head as he will literally just fall over.
He is a genuine Funko and as such he is manufactured with the strong durable vinyl we have come accustomed to and therefore he will last you many moons.
MGR Gaming’s Conclusions:
Besides the stability issue this is one great little Groot Funko and still deserves a place in your collection.
Whether you are a marvel collector, or enjoyed guardians of the galaxy so much that you collect memorabilia from the movie or just love your Funko bobbleheads this Funko is still a great buy.
I would recommend either keeping him mint in box and only taking him out to show him off or if you wish to display him you might have to tie him down to the surface you want to display him on.
Venomized Groot is durable and the only real wear and tear that can occur will be from bobbling his head too much but this problem can be solved by keeping him mint in box.
