For well over a decade Kingston has been at the forefront of high quality and performance hardware. The HyperX Predator series is no different, it offers pure performance and more this time around.

Kingston is well known for having their performance memory adorned in heatsinks. However, this time around they did something different, and it paid off pretty well. The HyperX Predator comes with a rather stylish build that is very aesthetic yet retains the fierce look that Kingston is known for.

Further adding to this unique design is the size of the Ram, measuring at 43.2mm, offering support for a wide range of air coolers. Then let us not forget the RGB feature that it sports. It adds to and enhances the overall look indefinitely. The entire build of the RAM was done in such a unique manner that it thoroughly enhances the lighting effects of the RGB. The RGB lighting can be controlled via your motherboard’s software.

The black heat spreader does the job of ensuring low temperatures whilst adding to that aesthetic look of we mean business!

Performance:

It will more than just improve your system! With XMP (Extreme Memory Profile), overclocking will be a breeze, you merely choose one of the supported profiles from your bios and there you have it. It does everything for you, no more worrying about individual settings.

To improve and make the testing more accurate we got hold of a second 1 x 16GB HyperX Predator DDR4 RGB 16GB 3200MHz CL16 DIMM XMP RAM. Below you will see our test results for the Memory Tests using AIDA64 Extreme.

Quite a jump in speed for sure. We have run some basic benchmarks by using AIDA64 Extreme to see just how well these beauties perform. Depending on which board you make use of you can get further performance increase if the board supports Quad Channel instead of just Dual Channel. Below you can see the Latency results.

We also used PCMARK 10 to thoroughly test the capabilities of the RAM.

We left the RAM at its stock configuration and ran PCMARK 10, once that was done, we enabled XMP and ran it again to see the outcome with EMP enabled. Below you can see our findings. Our findings also revealed that for certain instances the Stock configuration is better, whereas, with others, XMP Enabled increased the performance.

We used Shadow of the Tomb Raider’s built-in Benchmark to perform some real world testing. The game is rather new and boasting with absolutely gorgeous visuals. The Testing Setup’s settings are set to balanced using MSI’s Dragon Centre. In game, we turned everything up to the Maximum.

Then we ran the games Benchmark with the Ram at their Stock Configuration (2400MHz) and then with XMP enabled (3200MHz). The individual results speak for themselves.

Kingston is by no means the cheapest option on the market, however, with them, you get guaranteed quality and performance. These HyperX modules come in a variety of kit sizes and capacities giving you complete freedom to install as much RAM as you could ever need.

The stylish design really offered something new to look at in terms of RAM, and the added RGB effects were just a cherry on top. RGB has become a massive add-on to gaming in these past few years. It is also something that will expand into more and more peripheral and hardware options.

All the tests we ran performed beautifully with little to no hassles. You truly get what you pay for here and to be honest. The price is really very competitive with other brands that offer the same level of performance.

When purchasing RAM for your system, it is always advised to do some research on the type of RAM you are looking at VS what will work best with the components you already have. The right RAM can give you a massive performance boost, whereas the wrong RAM can cause numerous issues for your system.

However, as far as Kingston is concerned, there are only good things to be told. Quality and Performance are their top priority and this is exactly what they delivered and more.
