Well, well here the adventure comes looking for you.

- Never-ending replayability.
- 50 levels of adventure mode just waiting for you to show it who’s boss.
- 26 different types of zombies, all with their own strengths and weaknesses.
- Stunning graphics and very enjoyable soundtrack.
Gameplay & Controls:
The controls for the game are quite simple, you use your mouse to select and place your plants, the ESC or SPACE bar can be used to pause the game. The gameplay follows lane defense, as in you place your flowers in selected lanes which fire at oncoming zombies from those lanes.
As you progress through the levels you unlock more types of plants with a variety of abilities, such as ice to slow zombies down, plants that shoot into multiple lanes at once, and even vegetables that act as walls to hold zombies in place. There are numerous other goodies for you to use in adventure mode to give you a fantastic time as you hold these zombies off with your bag of goodies.
Graphics:
The graphics and detail for the game are beautifully done. The static backgrounds or in this case the various directions of the house we defend, all have beautifully created background detail, carefully crafted to give us a beautiful image.
The plants and other goodies we get to deploy all have their own unique design, look and feel to them, they are all alive and as they take damage it can be visibly seen. The same on the zombie side, each zombie type has their own unique look and feel to them, and as they are damaged the damage can be visibly seen. On the menu side of things, we have the option of Full Screen and Window Mode with the added option of 3D Acceleration.
Sounds:
The background music for this game is simply amazing, it’s soothing, inviting and it easily makes this game so much more fun, and more enjoyable. Every aspect of this game has its own sounds, from the zombies moaning to the actions they perform, your plants all have their own unique sounds.
On the menu side of things, we have volume control for the sounds and for the music.
Replayability:
This is a game that you can always come back to not just to replay but to kill some time and just have fun. You might come here just for a few minutes of joy and before you notice you’ve been here for a few hours; this game just has that effect.
Coupled with the various game modes this game has the perfect recipe for replaying it.

Spoilers Ahead:
Starting the game for the first time has most of the extra goodies locked. You need to play Adventure mode which also acts as the story mode to unlock the extra game modes, but let’s stick to story mode. You start with the front side of your lawn, at first there will be a few tutorial missions to help you with the basics.
Once that’s done you play a set number of waves on that side of the house, first in day time and then at night time, noticing that when it gets dark the strategy changes. No daylight means no sunlight so a whole new bag of goodies waits for you there. Your task in the game is line defense you place your plants in one of 5 lines to hold off against the attacking zombie waves, as the game progresses stronger and more agile zombies attack but you also unlock a wider array of plants to help you combat them.
The game is very addictive whether you are looking for some casual fun or if you like defense games. The other game modes as I briefly mentioned above are Mini-games which features a variety of mini games based around the lane defense of the game. All quite fun and enjoyable, then there is a survival mode, and a Zen Garden which is quite Zen, but these I leave to you to explore.
