Aesthetics:
At first glance they may not seem super impressive, however, they are pretty neat to look at. This is before power and installation. The design of these fans is quite unique and beautiful.
Once installed and powered up the real magic begins. These beauties come with an RGB Controller and control, so once installed you can set them up to perfectly match the rest of your colour scheme. Whether this is a solid colour, or your variety of rainbow lights. They will add a real spark to your tower.
Special Note: They are much brighter than advertised which is a real plus in my book.
Installation:
Rather simple and easy. Take them out of the box. Do ensure that your PC is turned off at this stage. When ready, you simply place the fan where you want it and screw it in from the other side. The Cables are rather long so you have enough room for proper cable management as well.
The screws do screw in a bit hard; this can be either because they are a size too big or done with the intent to ensure that the fans remain perfectly in place.
The RGB Controller comes with an IR Sensor that the remote makes use of to communicate with the controller. The controller can be installed by making use of the Velcro that is included in the box.
Connecting the fans to the controller is rather simple and easy. It’s a simple push and click and it’s in. The controller connects either to your motherboard or tower. It depends on what you have available.
Durability:
They may look like lightweights and they might actually be, but in no way are these lightweights. These beauties are made to last!
They have been made using eco-friendly materials, from a hyper-bearing design that has also been certified by CE & ROSH. That says a lot and then there is the life span of up to 30000 hours.
Chances are you would have upgraded long before reaching those numbers.
The GC-F008 truly is a worthy investment.
User Friendly & Functionality:
The design behind these are really simple but very effective. Once installed you can control the RGB from the remote directly. Not only does it control the lights, it also offers you a number of different breathing and lighting effects too. You can set the intensity and speed of the lights too.
Last but not least, you can also control the fan speed from the remote.
These fans have a rated speed of 12000rpm and it is said that they can bring down the temperature by 10 – 15 degrees, rapidly as well. I can confirm that this statement is actually true.
They were installed alongside six others of the same make, into my Ironhide Tower. The difference was almost instantly noticeable. I would mention here that depending on the tower and airflow of your system can alter these figures somewhat.
MGR Gaming’s Conclusions:
For the price that these sell at, I am amazed that they are so underrated. They add amazing visual beauty to your tower. The box comes with three fans, an RGB controller, and a remote, and the price is a steal!
Most other fans sell for more than this and then they do not include the remote or RGB controller. The installation of these items is remarkably easy and quick. You can control the lights and fans from anywhere using your remote. Just ensure that your IR sensors have been placed properly to read the signal from the remote.
The design and build of these are really astounding, Redragon is known for budget gaming, but that does not mean their components are cheaply made. They are just as durable as the best of the best.
