The fight is not over!

Please note that this Review may contain spoilers from the Base game

Some key points that this game add on has to offer:

  1. New Campaign Chapter
  2. New Playable Characters
  3. New Areas
Time
Time to rock this!

Replayability:

Playable once you complete the campaign of RE5. Ever wondered how Jill and Josh got to that Chopper and managed to give you a ride… Now you get to not only experience it but make it happen the Desperate Escape DLC.

The game takes place in an entirely new area of the game. It shares pretty much the same mechanics as the base game itself, except for a few. This is one chapter you play that will take you anywhere between two and four hours depending on difficulty and skill. You start off with Jill as you and Josh head out to make it to the extraction zone.

Here he comes.

You can replay the DLC aswell to improve your score, or with friends.

MGR Gaming’s Conclusions:

Desperate Escape plays more as an action oriented DLC, there is non stop zombie action from the moment you start it. Ammo and supplies are quite plentiful, which does help and make things easier. Being a single based level, you will be able to pick up a variety of weapons scattered throughout the level.

It's
It’s going to be a long five minutes…

The design and Layout were done pretty well. It looks beautiful and plays pretty well. There is a decent challenge to the game and a few split up sections where you will have to leg it alone too. The goal is simple and the reach not too great, there are no puzzles that need solving either.

Albeit that you can’t make use of the base games inventory system or additional options, this is still a fun DLC to play and replay. You can put your skills to the test again without that unlimited Rocket Launcher you grew so fond of…

MGR Gaming Score 8
