Please note that this Review may contain spoilers from the Base game
Some key points that this game add on has to offer:
- New Tomb to Explore
- New Weapon
- New Outfit
- New Skill
- New Achievements/ Trophies
Replayability:
This Tomb can be completed within the main story campaign. However, we can also replay them in “Challenge Tombs”.
Just like the original tombs, this tomb can be replayed in all three of the game modes that are available. Score Attack, Time Attack and Exploration.
MGR Gaming’s Conclusions:
For the first time ever, delve deeper into the history of Amaru himself. This DLC will not only test you in new ways, it will also share with you what transpired in Amaru’s life which led to the decisions he made.
This new DLC will send you exploring a few unique dead drop locations to piece together a coded message that Amaru left for his brother. As you explore these locations you will gain deeper insight into Amaru’s choices, and actions. At the heart of them all he wished was to save his people, and see them prosper.
The new tomb itself offers a new type of deadly poison that will try and halt your progress. The puzzles themselves are fairly simple to master, yet still fun filled to experience. There is some great scenery throughout this exploration to enjoy as well.
This tomb will reward you with a new skill Raptor’s Eye, which outlines enemies making them visible through walls and other obstacles. We get the Hunter’s Array – Apex uniform, with the unique passive of quieting our footsteps whilst running. It also increases the effect of perception plants, allowing us longer-lasting vision. Then there is Silent Sting, a fully silenced pistol.
If you own the Season Pass then this DLC is available to you for free, however it can be bought separately as well.
The DLC is rather small and quick to finish, however, what makes it unique and worthwhile is the story that it tells. It does limit the value, since not every gamer plays following the story line.
