What’s New:
This DLC adds to the base game and expands it. The story line is continued here with new missions. New bounties have also been added to the game. The new levelling system also offers new rewards for levelling.
You can freely travel to and from New York once you have completed the main campaign. New York shares the same exploration value as DC. With the new levelling system and rewards, this DLC is filled with replay value. There are new Gear Sets to track down, New Exotics and so much more.
The incredible beauty, the amazing weather systems, and the very realistic world is ever-present in New York. The developers ensured that your trip to the Big Apple will be most memorable and filled with the same beauty and astonishment that DC offered.
MGR Gaming’s Conclusions:
New York is in Grave Danger! The Cleaners have mobilized, the Rikers are more organized and they pose a greater threat than ever! Leading them is none other than Rogue Agents. Keener has deviously convinced and manipulated them to further his cause.
He has been cooking up a terrifying scheme since the original game and it is finally come to pass! New York is in danger and you are the only one who can save her! One by one you will take on Keeners Rogues to further your investigation and track him down!
Aiding you will be a variety of new weapons and gear, and a level cap increase from 30 to 40 which really ups the numbers! The new campaign plays very well! It is action-packed, fun, and very memorable! The story line is remarkably well-written and pure joy to experience as you play through each mission.
The new levelling system is quite a marvel for sure, it offers us a greater purpose and reward for levelling past level 40. To avoid potential spoilers, I am not going to delve too much deeper into this. They also changed the World Tiers, now you can set the global difficulty to Normal, Hard, Challenging, or Heroic. A drastic change considering it came from the original but it works out pretty well.
As far as DLC’s and sequels go, this is a pretty amazing one, although it has a hefty price tag on it.
