Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 Year 1 Pass Review

An Agents work is never done…

Please note that this Review may contain spoilers from the Base game

Some key points that this game add on has to offer:

  1. Instant Access to three Specializations
  2. New Missions
  3. New Vanity Items
  4. 7 Days Early Access
Time
Time to teach the Tusks another lesson!

Year 1 Pass:

These Year 1 Passes have quickly become the new norm for gaming it would seem. Boasting with new content such as missions, vanity items, and more. This one however gives us 7 Days early access to three new Episodes. There are, however, no quick run and gun missions. Full narrative missions with massively created levels for you to explore and loot.

There are classified assignments, which are smaller missions for you to take on. They have their own collectables as well that you can track down. Then there is instant access to the three weapon specializations. A Mini Gun, a Missile Launcher, and a Flame Thrower, so much firepower and you get immediate access to them!

He
He is in for a world of pain!

There are some vanity items as well that come with the Year 1 Pass. New Trophies for your back pack, a new Emote, and then a new Outfit.

Year 1 Pass Contents:

  • 7 Days Early Access to Year 1 Episodes
  • 8 Classified Assignments
  • Instant Access to Three Weapon Specializations
  • Agent Ward Outfit
  • Scout Emote
  • Additional Bounties & Projects
  • Back Pack Trophies
All
All that loot…

MGR Gaming’s Conclusions:

It depends from Gamer to Gamer if this is worth it. The Weapon Specializations can be unlocked by completing research for each of them and the Episodes will be released to the public as well. As a Pass holder, you get 7 days’ early access to them and instant access to the specializations. So, no need to finish the research for them. The other content however is only available to the Pass holders which gives them an additional Bounty and Project to complete.

The price is not that hefty, but it comes down to how much you intend to play The Division 2, or if you are the gamer that spends on additional content. The major add ons can be enjoyed without buying this pass. The rest are all just extras that you can do without.

Shock
Shock and Awe…

The classified assignments are very short and can be completed in a matter of minutes, the extra bounty and assignments are enjoyable, but there is no major gain here. The Vanity items are nice, and exclusive which will add some flair to your agent.
