Dawn of War is back, bigger and better than ever…
Some key points that this game offers:
- Massive Single Player campaign.
- New units for each Race.
- New playable Races have been added to the game.
- Updated Game mechanics

Gameplay & Controls:
Warhammer® 40,000 Dawn of War® – Soulstorm continues with the same gameplay style and mechanics that we experienced with Warhammer® 40,000 Dawn of War® – Dark crusade.
The battle mechanics have been updated and improved to some extent, the same with damage modifiers; it would appear that they have rebalanced some of the upgrades and units prior to Warhammer® 40,000 Dawn of War® – Dark crusade.

The Single player campaign length has also been extended quite a bit giving us a nice and lengthy playthrough. This time we wage war across an entire planetary system and not just a single planet.
Along with all these neat add ons, comes two new races, the Sisters of Battle and the Chamber Militant of the Emperor’s Holy Inquisition. The second new race to be added is the Dark Eldar, the vile, twisted and corrupted cousins of the Eldar.

The controls are pretty much straightforward for the game, with not much that has been updated or changed since Warhammer® 40,000 Dawn of War® – Dark crusade.
Graphics:
Somehow the visuals look even better, it is unsure whether this is due to having a new Warhammer 40,000 title to play or because they actually went and made this franchise look gorgeous all over from a new and fresh perspective. All the fantastic visuals, animations and cut scenes are simply beautiful, and an absolute joy to experience.

The newly added races look just as gorgeous, with clear distinctions on character builds, looks and traits. Weapon loadouts, vehicle types and buildings have been gorgeously drawn and once again Relic Entertainment has delivered a simply breathtakingly beautiful game to us.
Under the settings panel we once again have several options to customize our game to our exact liking.
Sounds:
The music once again compliments the entire game, setting the pace as you wage war across the Kaurava system. The background music plays gorgeously within each level, carefully themed to offer maximum enjoyment; again, Relic Entertainment did a fine job here delivering us a simply marvellous game to enjoy.

Character voice overs for each race are at the same quality level to offer that extra oomph for your preferred race as you go about eliminating all those who would oppose you.
Replayability:
The single player campaign has a total of nine races to choose from now and to accompany that there are three difficulty levels to choose from.

Multiplayer has all the races with their various faction choices from all three previous titles along with some new ones, so there is tons to re-experience there along with some new experiences.
MGR Gaming’s Conclusions:
Spoilers Ahead:
Warhammer® 40,000 Dawn of War® – Soulstorm is in every way a massive improvement from its predecessors, every aspect of the game is just as fun and enjoyable. Several mechanics and rebalances have taken place to readjust the gameplay, but in no way whatsoever does this limit or dull the game, it runs just as smooth and amazing as ever.

The new races add a beautiful new perspective to the game; Sisters of Battle are second only to the Space Marines themselves, but a force to be reckoned with nonetheless. The Dark Eldar are the vile cousins of the Eldar, but unlike the Eldar, the Dark Eldar are raiders that prefer the methods of slavery and torture, they are feared and hated by all, and with that a massive new story line that takes place across an entire star system. Battle it out against one another and see who will emerge victorious.
