Gameplay & Controls:
Far Cry 3 has been optimized to be played comfortably on either Keyboard and Mouse or with a game controller. Both methods work perfectly, it comes down to your personal preference. There are options to rebind keys to your rereferred usage as well.
Similar to Far Cry 2, we have a First Person Shooter based in a massive open world environment. After a sky diving trip lands, you on the shores of a pirate infested island you and your friends are captured. Narrowly escaping from the camp, you meet up with some of the islanders that also live on the Island. The enemy of my enemy is my friend. With the help of these islanders, you set out to rescue your friends.
The game has strong RPG mechanics, as you kill enemies, complete quests, or find collectables you gain XP. As the XP bar fills up you unlock skill points that are used to unlock new skills and abilities. From a spoiled young man with no hardship experience, you will quickly have to learn to survive if you wish to stay alive and rescue your friends.
There are numerous new mechanics and improvements on the ones that we experienced with Far Cry 2. The Islands are full of enemy outposts which you can assault and take over. Taking them over captures them for the Rakyat, and it also unlocks a safe house for you. You can fast travel to and from any unlocked safe houses. Each safe house is also equipped with a shop where you can buy and sell from. Then there is crafting, hunt, and kill animals, then skin them, so that you can upgrade your pouches, which allows you to carry more ammunition, health packs, and additional weapons.

Graphics:
They took visuals to a whole new level this time around! The game is beyond gorgeous, whether you are in the dense jungle areas tracking down a tiger, or strolling the coastline looking at the ocean, the visuals are jaw droppingly gorgeous!
They did a perfect job with the water effects, whether it is the ocean itself, or streams that run downriver, the water effects are absolutely stunning. The day and night cycle adds a very surreal atmosphere to the game that makes exploration more fun and realistic.
Character detail is done quite neatly, with realistic facial features and reactions. The detail in the environment itself is simply amazing. This world is so big with so much to see and do, and it all looks beautiful and so welcoming. You simply can’t help yourself from just taking it all in and merely appreciating the incredible beauty that the game offers.
Under the settings menu, we have a variety of settings that can be used to fine tune how this marvel runs.
Sounds:
Brilliantly done! The soundtrack for the game is absolutely stunning, adding to and marvellously improving the over quality and enjoyment scale of the game.
Voice over artists did a fantastic job giving life to their characters through brilliant voice acting. Running into random NPC’s will have them all responding to your presence with random jibber and running into enemies will make for some fun times… As you start shooting and injuring them, the language gets fouler and the game gets a lot more interesting.
Background sounds are another great addition here. Whether it is the animals that you are hunting or one that is hunting you… There are sounds and noises for everything and it breathes life into this gorgeous world.
Replayability:
Far Cry 3 has quite the replay value. There are numerous side quests that can be completed. Along with them comes even more collectables that you can track down that will reward you with a decent XP sum each time you find one.
There are all the outposts and radio towers that can be captured and then there is multiplayer.

Far Cry 3 boasts a massive and very vibrant tropical island environment that you will absolutely adore. There are tons to do, to see, and to enjoy as you set out on becoming the ultimate warrior.
Far Cry 3 is a massive step up from Far Cry 2, and not just for this or that, but for pretty much everything. The story line is simple but quite effective. The gameplay is tons of fun and the additional activities will keep you busy for days. The crafting is a neat new addition to the game that really adds to the overall game’s quality.
Far Cry 3 ticks all the right boxes and it created numerous new ones with the impressive gameplay that it offers.!
