In Pokémon Go, a fresh adventure known as “A Paldean Adventure” is currently underway, and we’ll provide insights into the tasks, field research, and much more.
As you are probably aware the very popular Pokémon Go has started a new adventure to introduce and celebrate the new generation IX Pokémon.
The event features new Pokémon from Pokémon Scarlet & Violet and runs till the 10th of September. The event will incorporate the Ultra Unlock bonuses achieved by players during GO Fest 2023, along with Field Research Tasks, Timed Research, Special Research, and a variety of Collection Challenges.
You might have already noticed that when you are roaming around there are some new Pokémon friends to catch namely Sprigatito, Fuecoco, Quaxly, and Lechonk among others.
One feature of the event is research tasks and here are all the Special Research Tasks:
You’ll receive access to this Special Research immediately upon logging into the game during A Paldean Adventure, and there won’t be any time constraints tied to the quest line, allowing you to progress at your own pace.
Following the initial step, you’ll be prompted to select one of the Paldean starter Pokémon, which will influence the subsequent missions and your rewards, so exercise careful consideration similar to the choices you make in the mainline games.
Follow these steps for the special research tasks:
Step 1:
- Catch 8 Pokémon: 20 Pokéball
- Complete all tasks in this step: Stardust x900 and XP x900
- Choose to adventure between Sprigitato, Fuecoco, or Quaxly.
Step 2:
- Catch 3 Pokémon: 3 Pokéball
- Take a snapshot of a wild Pokémon: 300 Stardust
- Finish all tasks in this step: The Pokémon you chose earlier and XP X900
Step 3:
- Spin 50 PokéStops or Gyms: 20 Razz Berry
- Catch 200 Pokémon: 15 Pinap Berry
- Send 60 gifts to friends: 25 Pokéball
- Evolve Sprigatito/Fuecoco/Quaxly (the one you chose earlier): XP x1,000
- Earn a heart with your buddy on 7 different days: Stardust x3,000
- Finish all tasks in this step: to be discovered
Step 4+5:
These steps will be updated when they become available. This will take a week which is the earliest time you can complete step 3.
Lechonks Adventure – Timed research tasks:
These are only available during the event run-time so you should finish it by the 10th of September.
Here are the timed research tasks to undertake during the event:
- Catch 1 Pokémon
- Catch 5 Pokémon
- Catch 9 Pokémon
- Use 9 Berries to help catch Pokémon
- Send 9 gifts to friends
Rewards: Shiny Lechonk, Stardust x900, and XP x900
All Field Research Tasks:
You can acquire these tasks by spinning the photo discs of PokéStops. Once you have a task in your field research tab, you can complete it at your convenience.
- Catch 3 Pokémon: Lechonk.
- Catch 9 Pokémon: Sprigatito, Fuecoco, or Quaxly
- Hatch an Egg: 750 Stardust
There are also four different collection challenges during the event.

Emphasis has been placed on Lechonk in this event and there will even be Lechonk-specific Pokéstop showcases running where you get to flaunt your chonkiest Lechonk.
As mentioned in our previous article there will be many shiny Pokémon available during the event.

Event Bonuses:
The event bonuses are as follows:
- If a Golden Lure Module wasn’t employed, Roaming Form Gimmighoul will not manifest itself at Golden PokéStops. However, adventurous Trainers can still stumble upon Gimmighoul Coins while spinning the PokéStop!
- Some PokéStops may turn gold without a Golden lure being used.
- 4x XP when you catch Pokémon.
- 4x stardust when you catch Pokémon.
Players will encounter shiny variants of Hoppip. Hondour, Buizel, and Fletchling more frequently during the Paldean Adventure event.
