The secret ending is a little tricky, but if you know what to do it will be revealed
The secret ending is quite tricky to achieve, but it offers an interesting and fresh perspective on how things turn out.
This is a secret ending that Cyberpunk 2077 hides behind your relationship with Johnny Silverhand. This is influenced by decisions you make much earlier in the game, thus it helps to know some things in advance if you want to uncover it.
You need to finish a number of side tasks featuring Johnny Silverhand Before going to Embers to see Hanako in order to access the hidden “Don’t Fear the Reaper” ending.
There are three side jobs you will need to complete including:
- Tapeworm
- Chippin’ in
- Blistering Love
In addition to these side jobs, you must have at least a 70% relationship with Johnny. The following options are available during his main side job, Chippin’ In, if that’s not the case.
The correct dialogue for chippin’ in is set out below:
- [Inscribe Johnny’s Initials] “Let’s do something about that.”
- “The Guy Who Saved My Life.”
- “Nah, fucked that up too.”
- “What do you want from me?”
- “OK. But as second chances go, this is your last.”
- “You were a real dick in the beginning.”
- “When you said you let down your friends…”
- “Smasher biz really got to her.”
- “Yeah, I’ll call Rogue.”
You and Johnny will be on the roof when the final mission, Nocture OP55N1, is completed.
You must now take the following action:
- Select the scenario that allows Johnny to join Rogue.
- Wait when given the chance to “put this to rest,” “take the pseudoendotrizine,” or “tell Johnny you need a minute” in the next dialogue option.
- When you keep focusing on Johnny, the rifle, and the drugs, he’ll eventually present you with another choice: a suicide run in which he offers to enter Asakana alone.
The secret ending of Cyberpunk 2077 will then unfold and offer the only final mission in which you won’t suffer losses. To choose this ending you’ll have to be extremely high-level, so you should try to grind a bit beforehand. Besides, the mission is a “one-strike and you’re out” deal, which means that if you die at any moment during the mission, you’ll fail and go directly to the credits.
