Step, by step…
The Fae Council is made up of three people: Savan, Oniril, and Nyele. When they first meet, the Council inquires about the player’s origins, noting that they are not Fae. You can inquire about Clementine with them, but only Nyele will be interested in assisting you.
Players can choose to assist them with their conflict, and they will explain that the One True King has been usurped by an Imposter with the assistance of one of the Council’s three members. They don’t know which of them has assisted the imposter. The councilors need the player’s help as a neutral third party to find and deliver evidence proving who among them is the conspirator.
To find the evidence, players must travel to a specific location. Look around the rest of the level for a portal that resembles a darkened mirror.
This will take you to a new area known as the Council Tribunal, which is a darker version of the Council Chamber.
Proceed to this area’s circular council room and collect the keys located at the base of each councilor’s seat. Grab them and arrange them correctly by matching the mirror image below them. From left to right, this is Council Key 1, Council Key 2, and Council Key 3.
This will open the door to the chamber of the One True King.
The Assassin’s Seal can be found on the wall behind the throne; to get it, scale the sides of the throne and jump towards the wall.
Jump to the back of the One True King’s throne from there to obtain the Assassin Dagger for evidence, as this item will determine which councilor is the conspirator based on whose symbol it bears.
Return to the portal after finishing that section to interact with the Council in the “light” world.
When accusing a member, you must provide evidence to back up your claim. You must show the Assassin Dagger. There are three versions of this item, and the description will indicate which of the three council members used it. Each member is assigned an icon, and the colour and symbol assigned to each member are generated at random. Examine the dagger and take note of the colour and symbol described. Each councilor’s colour and symbol are displayed on the base of their seat, and the symbol appears alongside their name when you accuse them.
- A small red jewel, carved with an ornate diamondlike crest, is set into the hilt.
- A small teal jewel is set into the hilt, which is carved with an eye symbol.
- A small purple jewel is set into the hilt, which has an elegant, mirrored flowerlike symbol carved on it.
If you are correct in your accusation, the traitor will be punished and killed instantly by the other two. The Ornate Blade is given to you as a gift.
