Players have the option to recruit her as a member of their crew to assist in the quest for a mysterious artifact. Sarah is also one of the four potential marriage candidates in Starfield.
These are the steps to take to romance Sarah Morgan:
- Commence the main mission titled “The Old Neighbourhood” to enlist Sarah into your crew.
- Maintain Sarah as your companion and engage in actions or conversations that align with her preferences.
- You will need to flirt with her at least three times.
- Talk to her when the chance presents itself (multiple times).
- Raise her affinity to become allies with her.
- Complete her personal mission “In Memoriam”.
- Talk to her again when the opportunity presents itself.
- Pick the “romance” option and tell her you love her.
- Become friends with her by raising her affinity.
- Choose the “commitment” option when the opportunity presents itself.
- Chat with her (wait for 24 hours if talking about the wedding option isn’t present).
- Marry her at Paradiso!
This is the quickest approach to win Sarah over, but you don’t have to follow the steps in the exact same order or even all of them to be effective. You don’t actually have to flirt with Sarah, for instance. You can even select the “Friendship” option when it does, and then ask her how she feels about your relationship when you speak to her later. This is the point at which you can determine if you wish to date Sarah.
There’s no need to wait to flirt with Sarah if you’re having problems deciding on a romantic route. It won’t be possible to start a relationship with her until she has finished her personal objective anyway. - You will need to complete her personal mission “in memoriam.
- Her affinity should at least be at “friend”.
- You will need to tell Sarah you “love her”.
- When talking to her choose the “commitment” option.
- You will then need to talk to her again. Wait 24 hours if the wedding talk option isn’t there.
- Now you can Marry her at Paradiso (located on Porrima II in the Porrima star system).
You won’t be able to marry her though if you are already married to another companion.
At the ceremony, she will present you with a commitment gift—a genetag display that you can showcase either in your Dream Home or your New Atlantis apartment.
If you choose to end your marriage with her, you can initiate a divorce, involving:
All you need to do to divorce Sarah is talk to her anytime and choose “How are you feeling about our marriage?” and then “End commitment”.
You will then need to choose “You’ll have to forgive me, but our marriage isn’t working out.”
Sarah will warn you that you can’t just remarry her if you do go through with this. You will be able to start a relationship with her again but you won’t be able to actually marry her.
Once you have divorced her she will be upset and will be dismissed as your companion. She won’t answer your questions but you will still be able to trade with her. This will only last two in-game days so you can “wait” for 48 hours to pass if you still desire for her to be your companion.
