To see the final trailer, you must say Candyman five times.
The film will be released on the 27th of this month and as such the Final Trailer has been made available on the film’s official website. There is a catch, however, to unlock the new and final trailer you will need to gather your courage, use your microphone and utter the Candyman’s name five times as is the tradition in the movie.

If you watched the first movie you will know that the Candyman is a daunting terrifying figure and if you do choose to visit the website and utter his name you will summon a swarm of bees which will intensify each time you call his name.
The new movie is a direct sequel to the 1992 classic and will be directed by Nia DaCosta and produced by Ian Cooper, Win Rosenfeld, and Jordan Peele.
It will be the fourth film in the Candyman film series, based on the short story “The Forbidden” by Clive Barker.
The official overview for the new Candyman states:
“For as long as the residents can remember, the housing projects of Chicago’s Cabrini Green neighborhood were terrorized by the word-of-mouth ghost story about the supernatural killer Daniel Robitaille, aka the Candyman, easily summoned by those daring to repeat his name five times into a mirror.
In the present day, a decade after the last of the Cabrini towers were torn down, a visual artist named Anthony McCoy and his girlfriend, an art gallery director named Brianna Cartwright, moved into a luxurious loft condo in Cabrini, now gentrified beyond recognition and inhabited by the upwardly mobile millennials.
With Anthony’s painting career on the brink of stalling, a chance encounter with a Cabrini Green old-timer exposes Anthony to the tragically horrific nature of the true story behind the Candyman.Anxious to maintain his status in the Chicago art world, Anthony begins to explore these macabre details in his studio as fresh grist for paintings, unknowingly opening a door to a complex past that unravels his own sanity and unleashes the terrifyingly viral wave of violence that puts him on a collision course with his destiny.”
The cast includes Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Teyona Parris, Nathan Stewart-Jarett, and Colman Domingo, with Vanessa Estelle Williams and Tony Todd reprising the roles from the original film.
