Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most anticipated games in recent history and it seems that there are copies that have shown up before the game is even released.
This news has landed via a Reddit user Justgonnasendit90 which shared an image of a PS4 version of the game which was seen for sale in retail stores. He apparently “held the game” in his hand at his job at Amazon. This before the official game has even been released.
If you look carefully at the image there is a sticker that states a free PS5 upgrade is available to those who have a PS5 console with a disc drive. We also see that the image confirms the game will come to Blu-Ray discs as well. In addition, it seems if you obtain this physical copy will receive a world compendium, stickers, postcards, a game map, and digital content access.
Another user also posted an image of physical copies of the game.
Cyberpunk 2077 has been shrouded in controversy due to the numerous delays of the highly anticipated ARPG First Person Shooter. There were also reports of gameplay streams for the game which appeared online over the weekend.
Via ResetEra streamers had broadcast about 20 minutes of the game’s Nomad Life path, from the start of the PS4 version of the game. This of course confirms the existence of unpatched copies of the game, before the official release date. CD Projekt Red has since erased these entirely though.
If you are of the ilk that despises spoilers then you should probably stay away from sites like Reddit and ResetEra which seem to be the sources of these leaks.
Recently the achievements for Cyberpunk 2077 leaked online before CD Projekt global community manager Marcin Momot commented on the leak. He stated that because spoiler-heavy achievements remain hidden, there shouldn’t be any major story leaks out there for the game.
It is expected that there will be increasing amounts of leaks before the release though, as we saw ahead of the release of The Last Of Us part 2. The game had frequent spoilers on livestream chats, comments sections, and on Twitter.
Cyberpunk 2077 is still set to release on the 10th of December that has not changed yet, but it now seems that a lot more information and “spoilers” will come to light as the hype of the game’s release increases.
