The CEO of Sony has announced that the recently released PS5 console is completely sold out.

In a recent interview with TASS which is a Russian news outlet the CEO of Sony Jim Ryan seemed delighted with the Launch of the PS5 and claimed that “Absolutely everything is sold”.

The next-Gen console has had a highly successful launch alongside its competitor The Xbox Series X and Series S.

In the interview with TASS, Jim Ryan explained how it was to launch the new console amidst the global pandemic, and also gave us insight on the sales of the consoles and rising prices f games.

Regarding the launch, he said:

“I guess my two principle feelings are one of happiness as things appear to be going well, and secondly of relief – we did it in this unusual, strange and frankly rather difficult year. Of all the things that I’ve learned this year, one is that I wouldn’t plan on doing another big console launch in the midst of a global pandemic, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anybody else. Everything is sold. Absolutely everything is sold, Ryan said. And everything will be sold in Russia, there’s no doubt about that. I’ve spent much of the last year trying to be sure that we can generate enough demand for the product. And now in terms of my executive bandwidth, I’m spending a lot more time on trying to increase supply to meet that demand”.

According to Ryan, the console factories in Asia were not operational at the time of manufacture. Because of this, they had to do the manufacturing process through a special camera.

There was a point in time earlier this year where many analysts had surmised the console’s release to be pushed to 2021 due to the issues and upheaval faced during the Pandemic.

Sony and Microsoft weathered the storm though and both next-gen consoles were released with great success.

Unfortunately, both console makers grossly underestimated the demand for their new highly anticipated gadgets and the supply has ended up not living up to the demand.

Despite all this though Jim Ryan is extremely proud of his team and how they have managed to navigate the console launch stating that “absolutely everything is sold”.

Jim Ryan has stated that he expects the PlayStation 5 will outsell its predecessor in the equivalent window of time.

The list of games launching with the PS5 is filled with exciting names such as Astro’s Playroom, Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Demon Souls, and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

Those patiently waiting for more stock of the PS5 will, unfortunately, have to wait an unspecified amount of time until the supply can be replenished sufficiently.
