Cyberpunk 2077 Gets First Free DLC

Cyberpunk-2077-Gets-First-Free-DLC

Cyberpunk 2077 will be getting its first free DLC inside the upcoming 1.3 update.

Cyberpunk had a rough rocky start as we all know but CD Projekt Red has persisted and been working hard on updates and patches for the game.

CD Projekt Red has announced update 1.3, which will be a major upgrade with a slew of changes ranging from tiny bug fixes to larger quality-of-life enhancements including the ability to respect characters for a fraction of the cost.

This new version will contain free DLC such as new coats, a new car, and an alternate appearance for Johnny Silverhand, which players will be able to access after reaching specific game milestones.

During the Livestream, it was said: “This patch is our biggest one to date,” senior-level designer Miles Tost said during Tuesday’s stream. “We’ve put a lot of effort into this one, so consider the DLCs that we have now as sort of goodies, sort of cherries on top. The reality of course, and we’ve talked about this in the past, is that we differentiate a bit between different kinds of extra content, between DLCs, additional items of which we will have plenty coming down the road, and of course the gigantic expansion passes which we will have something to say about later.”

What you can expect from the update:

  • Alternative appearance for Johnny Silverhand.

This can be activated in the “Additional Content” page of Settings.

  • Multilayered Syn-Leather Deltajock Jacket, and Luminescent Punk Jacket.

After receiving a note from Viktor after completing The Ride, both jackets are available in the stash at V’s apartment. By default, they’re of Rare/Iconic quality, but you can gain Crafting Specs to make them of higher quality.

  • Archer Quartz “Bandit”

After completing Ghost Town and receiving a message from Dakota or Rogue, it is available as a reward or for purchase (depending on the player’s choices). If you haven’t yet heard the message, make your way to the Badlands and away from Dakota’s workshop. Dakota will need a few days to get back to you.

Some more upcoming changes to look forward to include a zoomed-out mini-map which will allow players to see more and navigate Night City more easily, and cheaper perks reset option will allow players to experiment with builds more.

When players visit the Clouds institution in the Automatic Love quest, it will be evident whether they are choosing between Angel and Skye.

Well, there you have it some awesome updates are due “very soon” with the new 1.3 update. What are your thoughts on the new updates, and what do you hope to see in the next update?
