Subscribers of EA Play and Xbox Game Pass get the rare opportunity to try out the upcoming Battlefield 2042 seven whole days before launch.
The news comes via a post on the EA website announcing that EA Play members (including Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass ultimate subscribers) will get early access to the Open Beta and a 10-hour trial of Battlefield 2042 starting from the 12th of November.
EA Play Pro members will receive the Ultimate edition of Battlefield 2042, as well as all of the rewards that come with it. This includes early access to the Open Beta and complete access to the game beginning November 12th.
If you have preordered the Gold or Ultimate editions of Battlefield 2042, you will get early access to the full game as well on the 12th of November.
EA has released a new Battlefield 2042 trailer that shows off more of the game’s features, including the ability for players to create their own unique matches.
Battlefield 2042 is a highly anticipated First-Person action shooter by Electronic Arts and Dice and will be officially released on the 19th of November for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S.
The official Steam overview states: “Battlefield™ 2042 is a first-person shooter that marks the return to the iconic all-out warfare of the franchise. In a near-future world transformed by disorder, adapt and overcome dynamically-changing battlegrounds with the help of your squad and a cutting-edge arsenal.”
Pre-orders for the game opened on the 8th of October and if you happen to pre-purchase Battlefield 2042 you will receive:
- Irish – Battle Hardened legendary skin
- Baku ACB-90 melee takedown knife
- “Mr. Chompy” epic weapon charm
- “Landfall” player card background and “Old Guard” tag

If you play the game on PC and have the correct gear, you’ll be able to take advantage of Nvidia’s DLSS technology and light ray tracing, giving you an advantage over console players.
The game was delayed for a month but luckily for those chomping at the bit to get into action you only have to wait a few more days as the release date of the 19th of November is fast approaching.
