Former Call of Duty Developer John Connor Dvorsky Joins Undead Labs to Boost State of Decay 3 Development
Undead Labs, a recently acquired studio by Microsoft, has been relatively quiet about updates on State of Decay 3, a project that was revealed to be in development. However, there have been recent developments in their team, indicating a new addition to aid in the game’s development. John Connor Dvorsky, a former Senior Software Engineer at Raven Software, renowned for his work on Call of Duty, has joined Undead Labs as a Senior Software Engineer II.
Dvorsky’s transition from working on a popular shooter franchise to a game focused on zombie survival, such as the State of Decay series, raises intrigue. This move is seen as a positive sign, suggesting that Undead Labs is bolstering its team with skilled individuals to contribute to the completion of State of Decay 3. Since the teaser trailer for the next State of Decay game was unveiled in July 2022, it has been nearly four years, and fans are hopeful for updates in the coming year.
In 2022, it was disclosed that Undead Labs collaborated with The Coalition on Unreal Engine 5 for the development of State of Decay 3.
