Google’s game streaming service, Google stadia, is now free for everyone in the 14 supported countries.

The “base” version is available for free if you have a Gmail account (The Base tier is limited to 1080p, 60fps, and stereo sound), you can also use the “Pro” edition on a free trial for two months. The Pro edition was previously available for $129 so this is a huge saving. If you decide to go with this option you will get 8 free games including:

  • Destiny 2: The collection
  • Grid
  • Gylt
  • Serious Sam Collection
  • Spitlings
  • Stacks On Stacks
  • SteamWorld Dig 2
  • SteamWorld Quest

If you are already a “premium” subscriber you won’t have to pay for the next two months.

This new initiative is as a result of the global Corona crisis facing us all at the moment. As we all know lockdown has us playing more online games than ever, well this is a chance to reconnect with family and friends online for free for a limited period.
