Arrowhead Game Studios, the developer behind Helldivers 2, has unequivocally stated that player-versus-player (PvP) mode will never be introduced to the multiplayer shooter. CEO Johan Pilestedt made this clear in response to a player’s suggestion, emphasizing the studio’s commitment to maintaining a supportive and enjoyable community environment.
“We’ll ‘never’ add a PvP-mode,” asserted Pilestedt, citing a desire to mitigate toxic elements within the player base. “This is to reduce toxic elements from the community. We want an environment that’s supportive, fun, and where we all are fighting on the same side!”
