Hogwarts Legacy has been delayed to the 10th of February next year but Warner Bros has revealed the System Specifications you will need to run this much-anticipated RPG
We recently brought you the news that the much-awaited installment in the Harry Potter universe will now be delayed to February next year.
At least now that we know what the system requirements are for the game, PC users will need to have at least an Intel i5-8400 or an AMD Ryzen 5 2600 to play the game without issues.
To play, Warner Bros. Interactive advised utilizing either an AMD Ryzen 5 3600 or Intel Core i5-8400 processor with 16GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce 1080 Ti or AMD RX 5700 XT graphics card.
Below are all the required specifications for Hogwarts Legacy:
Minimum Requirements (1080p, 60fps, low settings):
- Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
- OS: Windows 10
- Processor: Intel Core i5-8400 OR AMD Ryzen 5 2600
- Memory: 8 GB RAM
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 or AMD RX Vega 56
- DirectX: Version 12
- Storage: 85 GB available space
- Additional Notes: SDD(Preferred), HDD (Supported), 1080p/60 fps, Low-Quality Settings, Upscale Performance Setting
Recommended Requirements (1080p, 60fps, high settings):
- Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
- OS: Windows 10
- Processor: Intel Core i5-8400 OR AMD Ryzen 5 3600
- Memory: 16 GB RAM
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 1080 Ti or AMD RX 5700 XT
- DirectX: Version 12
- Storage: 85 GB available space
- Additional Notes: SSD, 1080p/60 fps, High-Quality Settings, Upscale Quality Setting
As you can see, you’ll need a fairly recent gaming setup to run Hogwarts Legacy at 1080p at 60 frames per second on low-quality settings.
Although it hasn’t been confirmed yet, AMD’s FSR features are probably responsible for the reduced requirements. Of course, for higher resolutions, you’ll need to use more expensive, modern cards, such as an RTX 3080.
Modern games’ enhanced graphics have made their system requirements more demanding than ever, but thrifty players may be able to get more out of Hogwarts Legacy with older gear by compromising on resolution and frame rate.
