Much more than just mere maintenance
Our website has been running for quite a while. However, as much as we enjoyed the additional colours and animations, they provided their own flaws and not just joy.
So, on the backend side of things we have been working and planning on some changes. As things go with changes, they themselves change during the discussion and thought process.
In this particular aspect, big changes were agreed upon. As you may have noticed we recently changed our artwork with a completely new design. This is but one of the changes. Instead of redesigning our website, we opted for a completely new build.
We found ourselves some new designers that just happened to share our own ideas and from there plans were put into place.
We spend the last 12 weeks designing and building an entirely new website from scratch.
The new website will offer much better loading times and numerous other quality of life improvements to ensure your visit is as pleasant as possible.
We also decided to reduce the number of plugins we use and rather went with custom boxes designed for our various post types.
This in itself presented some of their own problems. Once the new move takes place, we will have numerous posts that will require editing and updating.
Editing that cannot be done until we have moved over. In advance, we would like to apologize for any inconvenience here. On the review side of things, we will need to update every score for our reviews, so at the moment all our reviews will display an empty block with a score of 1.
Then there will be additional custom blocks that will contain unique information pertaining to individual reviews. These themselves will also require updating. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience here.
Do note that we have editors in place to tackle these as soon as we moved, however, due to the volume of posts that have to be edited it will require some time nonetheless. Bear with us as we work to offer you the best browsing experience possible.
When will all of this take place? Soon, we will update you with a specific date as soon as the last tweaks and bugs have been resolved.
