Therefore, deleting your save should be considered only if absolutely necessary. It’s crucial to understand the saving mechanics in Dragon’s Dogma 2 and how to effectively reload saves to avoid any unintended consequences.
If you’re playing Dragon’s Dogma 2 on Steam and wish to begin a new game, it’s essential to disable cloud saves before proceeding. This process is straightforward and specific to Dragon’s Dogma 2. Ensure to close the game and then follow these simple steps:
- Open your Steam Library, right-click on Dragon’s Dogma 2, and select ‘Properties’.
- Under the General tab, toggle off the option to ‘keep game saves in the Steam Cloud for Dragon’s Dogma 2’. This will disable cloud saves. Now to delete your save file.
- Open File Explorer and navigate to this folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\[folder that’s a string of numbers]\2054970. This is the folder for Dragon’s Dogma 2.
- Delete all files and folders within this folder to get rid of your Dragon’s Dogma 2 save. The files and/or folder will be called “remote” or “remotecache”.
