Seems like Forza’s boss Matt Booty leveled up his position by quite a few levels
Last month, Xbox revealed a corporate shakeup with several executives taking on new positions.
One of those people is Matt Booty, who is now “president of game and content studios,” overseeing Bethesda and leaving behind his previous role as head of the Xbox game studio.
If you were wondering who will replace this role, it’s now confirmed. Microsoft has appointed Alan Hartman as head of Xbox Game Studios. If you don’t know Hartman, he has worked for the Forza Motorsport team at Turn 10 Studios since 2005.
For the past two years, he served as Corporate Vice President of Forza and Fable, and before that, he was Director of Forza Studio at Turn 10.
Here’s what he had to say in a brief LinkedIn post:
“Thrilled to be representing such an elite set of game creators in my new role leading Xbox Game Studios!”
Booty, as previously revealed, will now oversee projects at Bethesda and ZeniMax. Sarah Bond has also moved into new roles and is now president of Xbox, in charge of both the hardware and software teams within the games division.
And of course, Phil Spencer will continue to oversee everyone as CEO of Microsoft Gaming.
