Overwatch 2 is celebrating Halloween in style with a major in-game event

Overwatch 2 has barely seen the light of day and was only released on the 4th of this month and is already making major waves in the gaming community.

The interest in Overwatch 2 has been overwhelming. This is even though its release brought many bugs with it.

It seems Blizzard has planned carefully and even though the game is barely out they have already planned a major Halloween event for October.

The Halloween event is nothing new for Overwatch. This time around though we have an event geared toward the new installment.

In this event you will fight

The event will include the popular annual return of the Junkensteins Revenge limited-time event.

The Overwatch 2 Halloween event will host a sequel to Junkensteins Revenge called Wrath of the Bride.

Junkensteins Revenge: Wrath of the bride information:

Junkensteins Revenge: Wrath of the bride will be running from the 25th of October to the 8th of November. The event will boast a 4-player horde mode that will let players work cooperatively to survive waves of “Zomnics.”

Even though Overwatch 2 has promised a PVE mode with cooperative objectives that provide more background information on the game’s universe, it won’t be available until 2023. Players will be able to have some PVE fun with Junkenstein’s Revenge.

Instead of the Adlersbrunn map from past years, it appears like players will be venturing into some sort of eerie castle or dark crypt to battle Zomnics. The main antagonist will also be Sombra.

The limited-time event will also include a number of unique tasks to complete in order to earn additional experience and currency needed to access the event’s unique rewards.

The three skins you will see on the three protagonists this time around

The four playable characters in the vent will be Junker Queen, Kiriko, Ashe, and Sojourn. It is not certain if you will have to unlock the characters through the battle pass first to use them in the event. But it is pretty easy to unlock them if you need to as they are free.

The blog post showed us the new skins that the three new season one heroes will be donning. Junker Queen will be dressed as a wasteland/Mad Max-style character. Sojourn will be wearing a futuristic film noir detective skin, while Kiriko will don a witch skin.
