PewDiePie has announced that he will be taking a short break from streaming.

Felix “PewDiePie” Kjeliberg is one of the most popular game streamers on YouTube , with about 108 million subscribers on his YouTube channel.

Over his entire career, he hasn’t taken many breaks, streaming his videos on the daily. It only seems fit that he takes a well deserved break. This will be the second “break” he has taken in ten years of streaming on his YouTube channel.

This isn’t a big surprise though as he has mentioned numerous times that he is planning on taking a break in 2021.

Stating “I feel like it’s fair. Any other job you get holidays and I don’t do that. And this year has been pretty crazy. It’s good for my mental health.”

He announced the news on his YouTube Channel stating that he will be “taking some time off to chill and come back fully charged. I know it’s kind of a ball-buster to end here, but I don’t really take breaks and I feel like I just need it.  I’m going to miss you guys so all the best and take care”.

This after his recent fundraiser event which managed to raise almost a million dollars via Donation and Member revenue for Movember, Papyrus, Red Nose Day, Winston’s Wish, The Blue Ocean Foundation, and the Save The Children Foundation.

PewDiePie Takes Break From YouTube

The last time PewDiePie took an actual break from streaming was the 15th of January 2020 and he returned on the 21st of February. That’s 37 days of relaxation and rejuvenation time that we all need every now and then.

In his video announcement he mentioned that he would take “a week, two, maybe three weeks” off suggesting he is just going to play it by ear and doesn’t have actual plans in place for his time off.

There are so many streamers that put their “jobs” first and their families and mental health second so it only seems fair that PewDiePie would take a break.

If this means that his fans will have to wait a little longer for their favourite streamer to release new content then so be it.

It is unclear exactly when he will return but we believe this Is a well-deserved and much needed break and he will surely come back stronger and even more full of shenanigans when he does return.
