Rage_Teddy or “Teddy” is a gamer/content creator with a clear passion for Gaming.
Down To Earth, humble, and professional are just a few words to describe this up-and-coming Twitch streamer, Youtuber, and fan of online multiplayer FPS/Battle Royale games.
He also has a funloving side though which adds to his multifaceted personality. If you check out his Facebook page you will see many memes and light-hearted banter to get you through the day. He is in the business of creating a community of gamers where friends can gather and enjoy their shared love of gaming.
Naturally, we wanted to know more so we reached out for an interview and this is how it went down:
Our first question to get to know the content creators is always Who are you, and what is your backstory?:
“Rage Teddy Gaming is also known as the Rage_Teddy, most people choose to call me Teddy, or Rage. But the IRL me is known as Jason, I am a simple 26-year guy from Joburg, who has wanted to stream for a long time, but was always too shy and nervous, until one day, my girlfriend at the time, told me to just do it.I have been on the streaming path since July 2020, now that I look back, it’s been a great adventure and I really can’t wait for more good times producing content for my community and anyone who wants to watch.”
Secondly, we wanted to know What his role in the gaming community is:
“I would like to think that my role in the gaming community is simple, firstly, I just game for fun, I’m not a competitive gamer, but sometimes I manage to pull off miraculous, almost pro play moves.
I’m just here to let the people enjoy the content, often giving the viewers a good laugh at my horrible deaths in games, where I pay attention to my chat and proceed to jump off a map. I’m here for a good time and a long time.”
What is Rage_Teddy’s favourite genre of game?:
“I wouldn’t really say I have a favourite; I mean, I have been playing World of Warcraft on and off for the last 10 years.
However, I do tend to gravitate more towards your online multiplayer FPS/Battle Royale games, like Apex Legends. Lately, I’ve also gotten back into a bit of Fortnite since they’ve eventually removed the building. (Yay, no more 5-star hotels with Wi-Fi being built when you shoot at someone).”
His preferred gaming platform?:
“I do much prefer gaming on PC, due to the clear and obvious spec and performance increase compared to consoles. I do however mainly game on my PS4 whilst I save up to build a decent gaming/streaming PC.
But don’t get me wrong, I do feel that all gamers, no matter what platform, should get along and enjoy the games with less “PC is better than console” fights, of course, PC is better, but that’s not what gaming is about.”
What is his favourite thing about gaming?:
“For me, it’s the getting home after a long stressful day at work and getting on with the boys. It’s fun, and stress relieving. I love how it can be used as an escape from the real-world drama around us, that we can’t avoid.”
Finally, we all want to know, What are your current projects and what do you have planned for the future?:
“Right now, I am working on my new community for gamers and streamers. A place where you can go to make new gamer friends, because let’s face it, a lot of people are often looking for people who play the same games as them.
Not only will it be to meet new gamers, but for the Streamers, it will be a community to assist in the growth of your own streams, to build a community of your own, because it makes it a lot easier to have some support through your journey.
