Razer’s new LED Visa Card

Who needs an ordinary boring Visa Card when Razer has now developed one with an LED Logo built right in?

Razer has long been the go-to company for all our gaming peripheral needs, in fact, you probably have a PC setup littered with Razer merchandise. So, it would make sense that the company would jump to manufacturing their own Visa cards, right?

The new Razer Visa card will reportedly combine the option of making digital payments with a virtual card and payment app (Razer Pay), with a numberless card that you can carry around with you on your person.

There are two options for us to choose from namely the standard card or the Premium card which has a green light-up Razer logo in the corner.

No RGB lighting here though unfortunately, which will be a disappointment for some as it seems to be the new norm for gaming peripherals with nearly every PC build glowing like it was in a radiation accident.

The new card is currently in its beta program and will be offered through Razer’s financial technology arm Fintech. Apparently, users will be able to earn 1% cash back on select purchases and 5% cashback for RazerStore and Razer Gold purchases. customers can also get a temporary 10 percent discount on purchases through Razer’s online store with the chance to redeem “up to $2,000 worth of Razer gear and free card upgrades.”

Gamers will also be able to make purchases and earn “Gamified” rewards where “users go through a personalized experience to track, score, and redeem rewards based on tasks and everyday transactions.”

Unfortunately, though for the time being the light-up Razer card is only available in Singapore to the first 1337 people who sign up for it. Razer has not given us any further information about which other countries will eventually be included in the acquisition of this new card and when it will be more widely available.

We will hopefully find out more soon with a full launch, and a much anticipated RGB version of the card.
