Arthur Morgan and John Marston Actors Make Special Appearance in ‘Red Dead America’ Course
In a unique twist, actors Roger Clark and Rob Wiethoff, known for their roles as Arthur Morgan and John Marston in Red Dead Redemption 2, surprise a university class using the game to explore American history.
Professor Tore Olsson at the University of Tennessee leads the “Red Dead America” class, utilizing the game and its sequel as educational tools to delve into American history from 1899 to 1911. Unbeknownst to students, Olsson arranged for Clark and Wiethoff to join the class as special guests for the final lesson before spring break.
A video shared on X captures the students’ excitement and surprise at the unexpected visit from the actors who portrayed their beloved in-game characters.
Clark and Wiethoff express their honor and delight at seeing the game used academically to make history accessible to new audiences. Both actors humorously acknowledge their newfound status as honorary professors.
Olsson, the professor behind the class, has also authored a book titled *Red Dead’s History*, which delves into America’s past through the lens of the popular video game series. Additionally, the audiobook is narrated by Clark, adding an extra layer of immersion for fans.
While the possibility of a Red Dead Redemption 3 remains uncertain, Clark acknowledges the likelihood of its eventual release but speculates that Arthur Morgan may not be part of the next installment.
