It appears that Apex Legends may be getting a First-Person Spin-off.
This news comes via a job-Listing on Respawn Entertainment’s official recruitment site which has listed various entries for an “Apex Universe FPS Incubation” job with one of the listings calling for a “senior environment artist”.
The project has been described as “a brand new Respawn single-player adventure” even though other details are understandably scarce on the project this could be an exciting tease for Apex fans worldwide.
The studio has its fingers in many pies at the moment in addition to this “incubation project” they are also developing Star Wars: Jedi Survivor, and two Star Wars games including a Star Wars FPS game and a Star Wars Strategy game.
They are also continually working on updates for Apex Legends. So the big question will be when exactly will they have time to work on a new FPS and will it be anytime soon?
The other question is, will this project be more for Apex Legends or Titanfall? Some of you might remember that Apex Legends takes place in the same universe as Titanfall.
Initially a Titanfall spin-off, Apex Legends gradually acquired significantly more traction. This means the game could include Titans but still have Apex Legends in the title.
Apex Legends still has so much potential in the Story department as there are a plethora of characters especially for a battle royale with no real story mode so only time will now tell what will happen in terms of a storyline.
This is all mostly based on speculation from a titbit of information but it will be exciting to see just what comes of these listings and what the project will entail and what exactly Respawn has in store for the project.
