In the tweet, Iron Galaxy stated: “Players who have made any purchase since launch will be eligible for a refund.”
This is good news for anyone who has invested in the game since its release. On the 31st of January, a final update was released, closing the in-game shop and allowing players access to the entire Rumbleverse.
Every player will get the most recent Battle Pass and double EXP. There will also be free unlocks for more gear and emotes.
In a letter to the community Iron Galaxy stated:
“When you work on a video game, you imagine the community that will show up to play it, someday.
For years, we dreamed about a lively city filled with people fighting to become a champion. We strived to create a vibrant place that celebrated the competitive spirit.
Our goal was to bring joy back to online multiplayer gaming.”
The game was originally released in August of 2022 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
Rumbleverse is a third-person battle royale game. A total of 40 players will be dropped in Grapital City or Lowkey Key, where they must fight against one another for survival.
Rumbleverse focuses on melee combat instead of gun or firearm combat, and players have no access to guns or firearms. In addition to punches, kicks, and elbow drops, players have several base attacks available to them.
Unlike basic attacks, stronger or vicious attacks cannot be blocked and must be dodged instead.
This gameplay style made the game a unique battle royale that was trendy and enticing.
In the letter, Iron Galaxy finishes by saying:
“It is our sincerest hope that this news does not mark the end of Rumbleverse. You may not yet have seen the Rumble in its final form.
If we can welcome people back onto the deck of the battle barge again, we hope you’ll be there, laced up and ready to take your rightful place in the cannon.
Iron Galaxy will keep making games. It’s our passion and our purpose. Our people are filled with skills and inspirations to keep the world playing.”
So, in closing will this really be the end of the Rumbleverse or will Iron Galaxy be back in the future to thrill fans on an even larger scale?
