Starfield is possibly one of the most talked-about games on the list this year. Obviously, despite being available on Xbox Game Pass since its inception, Starfield continues to sell well. Furthermore, the sci-fi RPG from Bethesda has proven to be a success for Game Pass, with the platform seeing a significant increase in subscriber numbers during the game’s release window. Starfield won first place in every eligible category. Starfield has achieved Platinum status in both the most-played and best-selling tabs.

In addition to software sales, Steam had a very successful year with the release of the Steam Deck OLED handheld. While the initial iteration of the Steam Deck hardware was a game changer for PC players, the OLED upgrade has improved on a number of features in addition to providing gamers with an excellent new screen.

Many high-quality games will be released next year, so it remains to be seen whether these will boost Steam sales as much as they did this year.
